Good luck to him. Took Hibs to his heart and is a club legend. I wonder where Stubbs will get back in and when

You're maybe not old enough, but I think that's a whoosh moment.

Hope he's on the phone to Hibs looking for a friendly.

John Doolan is just one of the nicest most passionate guys we've ever had the good fortune to employ.

I have no idea if he'd make a good manager, but he's one of those men who's name will come up in the future whenever we need a new manager.

And i bet a big percentage of us would want him. :greengrin

A bit like Sauzee.

20 miles North of Manchester and in between Burnley and Blackburn. They have a keen local support who have plenty of bigger and better clubs to watch. But they stick by their local team. Good luck to them.

Very OF comment of Who are they ?

I remember them going bust back in the early 60s and they ceased to exist for a long time but did a Sevco and climbed back up the leagues.

I'd say it's got 'character' at least. In fact it's not even the worst in the immediate area when compared to Burnley's away end.

What is wrong with Burnley's away end? Nice wood seats and a good view.

Bet you Burnley's away end has a roof, something Accrington away end doesn't have, last time i was there (AS) at the end of the game the away fans had a square go with there players as the changing rooms are at the corner, good stuff so it was. :greengrin

Yep, I thought it was a 'big team' type of comment.

And I'm old enough to remember when Accrington Stanley went bust in the sixties.

Football clubs at any level going bust back then was BIG news.......changed days!

I wonder where this leaves Stubbs, if he gets a managers job, he just can't expect Dolan and Holden to leave their posts and join him

Regardless of where he goes, that man should be wished well and forever thankful for his role last year. Embraced the club, got into his blood and forever a Hibs man.

Good luck, sir.

I wonder what that means for Stubbsy? Do you think he's been trying and failing to get a club or has he told JD to go it alone as he's isn't fussed about going back in to management?

I've never met the man, but he feels like a friend.

You hardly heard a word from him while he was at Hibs and you heard very little talk about him yet after watching Time For Heroes he's one of my favourite members of the club from that group.
