I had no idea there was a protest and dropped my mum at market Street for the train. When I came along the road and seen police everywhere I actually shat it and thought the worst I. E some attrocity had/was taking place there was that many police. When I realised the road was still open I then noticed a small group of protestors, I'd guess about 20 max. There was more police and vans there than anything else. Seems odd to pay so many policemen, probably overtime as well to deal with a group most laugh at and ignore

I saw pictures of the EDL protests in London on Saturday and it looks about the same turnout as Edinburgh both by Nazi and police.

On the one hand I wholeheartedly agree...yet on the other, for sheer comedy value pictures like this require a wee lookie...
The guy with his arms raised probably wants to ban the burka/niqab but probably cannae spell the word 'irony'. :greengrin
