Thundercats was quality. Wide Awake Club with Timmy Mallet :greengrin
Dogtanian and the muskahounds was probably my favourite. Even back then I knew the animation was ropey but I didn't care.
Sort of regretting reading this as I have theme tunes stuck in my head now...mainly defenders of the earth and Ulysses. Thanks.
Do you ever forget these tunes?

Without that I wouldn't have been reminded of kickstart. I used to cheer when they went over the greasy log.

My 2nd wife was a good bit younger than me and was a big Dogtanian fan as a kid, we bought the DVD and the forward giving Dogtanian's background was racy to say the least, in fact very racy for a kids DVD it was bloody hilarious.
For my own part .... Trumpton, Chigley, Mr Ben, the Clangers and a good few others ...... Sad to hear of the death of Brian Cant, an integral part of my childhood as was the genius Oliver Postgate.
And its ..... Pew, Pew, Barney, McGrew, Cuthbert, Dibble, Grubb ............ not AND Grubb :brickwall

Not a show I watched as a kid, but a kids show I discovered on some nonentity cable channel one late, late night about 15 years ago after several lagers and 'herbal' roll ups - JoJo's Circus. It was one of those plasticine animation jobs, clearly (I hope) aimed at the pot headed student market.... It certainly had me and the Mrs in absolute hysterics - yet I'd never heard of it before, or seen it since! *It's on YouTube though so we've never hallucinated it!
As to my own childhood I loved Danger Mouse,Dogtannian,Chorlton and the Wheelies.
And of course who could forget all the cheesy old stuff you'd to put up with during the summer holidays? Flash Gordon, Harold Lloyd, Champion the Wonder Horse etc
Edit: I've just found this review of JoJo's Circus on IMDB
A dope-ass, mind blowing, gift from God claymation. I'm talking clowns, loins, unicycles, and multicolored balls. I didn't even mention the pie throwing. It's the best ****ing show and America was blessed to have it on their tv for so long.
