jesus christ, what a tough crowd. the subtext of my 'clever joke' is that people seem to be posting all kinds of bollocks on here as soon as they hear something from someone, usually without mentioning the source, pretty often about important members of our team leaving, and they keep turning out to be rubbish...i personally find it a bit un-nerving, and really pointless. if you hear something from a decent source, then fine, but if you just hear something on the grape vine and have no clue if it is of any substance, why bother? it just turns into chinese whispers, and whilst that is fun when it's players coming in, it's a bit disruptive when it's all about players leaving.

this said...this is a public forum, where people can spout whatever rubbish they want, so long as it's not libelous - and with that freedom, i can also start threads containing a crap joke that receives a mixed (at best) reception, and fails to make sufficiently salient the point that THERE ARE A LOT OF POINTLESS THREADS ON HERE!
