Yes, due to Jason being there in the development structure. They will get 10k from the deal, also Hutchie will get 5k.

I was told this this morning and I dont understand. Hearts released him, so why should they get any dev fee? I thought he had to have had a contract offered on the same or better terms as they were currently on :confused:

lets be honest, whats £10k? saves them a bake sale or 2 I suppose. Jasons goals against them have been worth MUCH more than £10k.
I do hope they spend it well tho, I'm sure we'll enjoy spending. our £1m that we made on a player they released

Equates to about £40 for each week he was there. If it is true then it's a small amount to put in the cash cow.

This, ridiculous that they get any sort of fee when they dumped him as a youngster. Such an insignificant fee though, hope they spend it wisely...

I would be embarrassed to take it.

It's like a punter chucking a whore an extra pound coin after he's had his way with her.

Mind you they are desperate.

"Development" or dump when injured without support or physiotherapy cause they were (are) skint

Yeah £10k seems fair for that...

This was my understanding of the rules. They released him and left him with no income, why should they profit from him? As others have said though 10k is nothing in the grand scale of things but it's pretty shocking that they dumped him when he got injured and now profit from his hard work.

hopefully they receive the 10k in 5p pieces deposited in their cash cow.

You are talking 10000 bricks pal.

They could use the £10k to buy the bricks from themselves.

The bricks could then be used to build the "Jason Cummings lounge" for their hospitality.

The solutions are staring them in the face.

So no one knows the fee yet some punter from the Daily Record seems to know the ins and outs of it all. Sounds like pure speculation to me

We should ask them if we can donate it to a charity.

Apart from they don't and they have the amount due well out of scale.

Also worth pointing out that any monies will be due from Forest not from Hibs.

Here's how hertz got some dosh;

If a professional moves during the course of a contract, 5% of any compensation, not including training compensation paid to his former club, shall be deducted from the total amount of this compensation and distributed by the new club as a solidarity contribution to the club(s) involved in his training and education over the years. This solidarity contribution reflects the number of years (calculated pro rata if less than one year) he was registered with the relevant club(s) between the seasons of his 12th and 23rd birthdays, as below:

So in JC's case if he was 'training' from 11 and 16 hertz would be entitled to 1.5%. If the transfer fee was £1m, the compensation would be £15,000. The DR, using it's own figures, can't count.

– Season of 12th birthday: 5% (.e. 0.25% of total compensation);
– Season of 13th birthday: 5% (i.e. 0.25% of total compensation);
– Season of 14t birthday: 5% (i.e. 0.25% of total compensation);
– Season of 15th birthday: 5% (i.e. 0.25% of total compensation);
– Season of 16th birthday: 10% (i.e. 0.5% of total compensation);
– Season of 17th birthday: 10% (i.e. 0.5% of total compensation);
– Season of 18th birthday: 10% (i.e. 0.5% of total compensation);
– Season of 19th birthday: 10% (i.e. 0.5% of total compensation);
– Season of 20th birthday: 10% (i.e. 0.5% of total compensation);
– Season of 21st birthday: 10% (i.e. 0.5% of total compensation);
– Season of 22nd birthday: 10% (i.e. 0.5% of total compensation);
– Season of 23rd birthday: 10% (i.e. 0.5% of total compensation)

The calculation to age 16 suggests JC was awarded a professional contract when he was 17.

I think!:greengrin

I mean, he has cost them plenty more than 10k so it doesn't bother me.

Great to see them scrambling like penniless jakeys in the gutter for the loose change we absentmindedly toss their way.

Excellent means as well as owning them on pitch we also own part of the stadium.
