Changing his name to Ronald, apparently he fell in love with the club after the heartbreaking defeat to Hibs and subsequent brutal assault on the Rangers players

Not a surprise given his tax issues... Although it could be a ploy to get a bigger wage to help pay it off!

Heard from someone ITK that he's heard of Yamanomics and wants to play for the famous and learn how he can avoid paying tax!

Done deal with the Hibees apparently, my mate cleans his pool. It's not about the money anymore, he wants to finish his career at the Leith San Siro.

Zidane has spoken this afternoon about how disappointing this will be for the Real Madrid support. 'This is tens of thousands of peoples' Heart of Midlothian, and the fans will be devastated.'

Massive club and, realistically, the only club that can afford to trigger his €1bn release clause.

This generation's obsession with statistics is the reason that some people think Ronaldo is close to Messi. Watch them both in El Classico, Messi is obviously lightyears ahead of Ronaldo.

Watch the tax evasion case disappear once Real privately pull a few strings and call in a few favours at the outrage Ronaldo could be forced out by nasty revenue chasing types... They are THE establishment club. Not convinced Ronnie will be going anywhere...

Would probably take him to replace Cummings though.

If you don't or can't follow Spanish or Portuguese media outlets then check out places like YouTube for Ronaldo away from football and you'll find he's actually a decent guy off the park and is very far from being a tosser as you put it.

He was unsettled as soon as he heard about the big red coo and the allure of Father Dougal.

Madrid are going to report the famous for tapping up their player with promises of never being able to play a European game on a regulation size pitch in front of their three and a half stands and corporate facilities that face away from the pitch.

Not sure he'll be able to handle playing for a big team anyway.

It's just boring.

Personally Messi is the type of player I enjoy watching more. However Ronaldo is a phenomenal talent, the 2 of them are, imo given advances in technology and science, the best players ever to play the game. People should enjoy them both.

He has a 500k release fee. it was agreed at the start of the season if they won the champions league he could leave for 500k.
his brothers best pal plays football at powerleague with me every second Wednesday and told me this is fact. real will probably say its nonsense and try to peddle the lie they want over £80 million for him but its not true. I am not a barca fan this is 100% true.

The Inland Revenue in Spain flexes its muscles at football but generally stops short of pulling the rug out from football clubs as can be seen with its constructive attitude towards Athletico Madrid who if they were in Scotland would have been up in court on charges and then liquidated without a second thought. The authorities worked with Athletico who had to sell a player every season for a decade to pay a backdated tax demand.

Oh and if you think Barcelona are not "establishment" much in the same way as RM then your barking up the wrong tree. But then I would say that as I'm a Valencia fan and unlike some fans in Spain we hate the pair of them equally.:greengrin

Appreciate Barca are disliked by other Spanish teams as well, but they're not in the same bracket as Madrid when it comes to being "establishment"

I'd recommend to you Sid Lowe's book "Fear and loathing in La Liga". It blows apart the myths and lazy cliches surrounding Real Madrid & Barcelona.

The man living in Madrid can blow apart whatever he wants.

Regardless of history, and whether it's a good or a bad thing, by the very definition of the word - Madrid are more of an 'establishment' club. That's all I was saying. Nothing to do with myths or cliches.

Over here, I actually know more people who prefer Madrid than the other way round, as opposed to the 'pro-Barca, anti-Madrid' suggestion.
