Hopefuly see it waving at full time when we win!

Big change for me to be able to watch a sporting event involving a Scottish team at a civilised hour 😉

Scotland leading 17-12 at HT. Done pretty decent thus far. Will be a tremendous result if they manage to win this considering some of their important key players aren't available.

Great result, even although we gave up too many penalties. 4th in the rankings now!

When we gave the penalty away with 10 seconds remaining, I personally thought we were going to "Hearts" it.

Fantastic win and kind of questions the make up of the Lions squad imo. Russell should have definitely been in as totally different type of number 10.

Thought Russell was superb today, world class. He reminds me a bit of Cummings, seems a bit of a daft laddie sometimes but plays with a smile on his face and not afraid to try things. I'd actually rather he hadn't been called up to the Lions. Although it's good for him personally of course I don't think WG's 'brand' of rugby would suit him.

As I said on the Lions thread, I know almost nothing about rugby but I can certainly appreciate the magnitude of this win.

Outstanding victory.

Scotland were superb and are not actually getting the credit they deserve. All this "brave Scotland" stuff is annoying. He's they defended well but they also scored one of he greatest team tries I have ever seen. Loads of skill and ability in this team now as well as hard workers. 4th ranked team in the world at the moment!!

We're a good team and don't really get the credit for the style of rugby we play. Unfortunately we're not 4th in the world though - still 5th. To have moved up to 4th we needed to win by about 15 points yesterday.

The BBC and Sky certainly think we've moved up to 4th.

i know that Ireland went 3rd after beating Japan(and a little help from us) but South Africa beat France later yesterday so i think that might have pushed them back above us...knocking us back to a lowly 5th :)

Have you any idea how the rankings are worked out in rugby?

Is it similar to the tennis rankings and done on a rolling 12 month cycle?

Not sure why/how but although it was reported we were up to 4th I think the BBC and Sky forgot about the other games yesterday when doing the sums.

Thanks yeah that seems to be what's happened. Sounds like we went up to 4th at the time our game finished against Australia and then went back down again after the South Africa game a bit later on.

The focus in NZ has been laughing at the Wallabies as if they just lost to Canada or some other second rate outfit. Infuriating. I think we need to put in a really credible performance v the All Blacks before we gain any real respect over this way.

Amazing peformance Defended like men possessed in last 10 minutes . Scotland have improved out of sight over past 18 months. .I'd lost a bit of interest in rugby union over past few years but this performance certainly rekindles it
"Exuberant "pitch invasion afterwards Permission granted by the authorities -;)
My mate and i both travelled from Sydney for last years SC final. Missed out on pitch invasion then as we were in Upper South Stand.
Didn't quite make up for that but enjoyable all the same.
Lots of bragging rights at work for a wee while too.
