The Champions League final will be played outwith Europe within a decade imo.

The foreign markets, particularly the far east and Africa, are huge and big money spinners. Games will likely be moved to the gulf though as they'll be the biggest payers. The FA Cup Final live from Doha followed by El Clasico from it's new home of Dubai.

Am I the only one picturing numbered ping-pong balls being launched from young ladies' nether regions?

I might tune into this.

Not now you're not. Like you're thinking.

If this happens (which really wouldn't surprise me) then I'm done with elite level football.

No offence to Stubbsy, but a cup draw involving Rod Stewart and Sticky Vicky would be compelling.

So much of me wants to say "you're wrong" but it's true. I'm surprised that it hasn't happened already.

Australia just hosted Brazil v Argentina at the MCG for a friendly last week. 100,000 turned up, paying up to $200 (£80 odds) for a ticket to a friendly.

EPL teams come over for pre season friendlies too now and those friendlies cost a bomb too. Not really for me, but don't be surprised if some sort of English competitive game happens in Aussie in the near future too.

Mcg looked empty on my television!

Edit: hang on, misread it. I was talking about the Brazil v Australia game

And therein lies the problem - less Aussies turned out to see their own team playing than two teams from thousands of miles away!
