How anyone thinks Saudi Arabia are an ally is mindblowing.

The only difference between Saudi Arabia and Islamic State is UN recognition.

Their execution methods are the same, their legal systems are the same, the branch of Islam they both follow is the same, their interpretation of the Qur'an is the same.

I just wish our political leaders would have an honest discussion about these issues. The Saudis run a disgusting, medieval, morally corrupt regime and I just wish we could completely distance ourselves from them.

If we had been playing a football match in a country that was holding a minute's silence for such a thing then I'm sure we would have been more than happy to oblige.

No-one would have necessarily batted an eyelid if Saudi Arabia had been playing at home and no silence was held for what happened in London. However the Australians decided that they would show respect to the victims of the attack (two of the victims were Australian) and the Saudis ignored it.

I think that speaks volumes.

Will be no action on Saudi while they prop BAE up. Jobs more important than political morality to our Government, sadly IMO.
