They might say it returns, but that is nothing like the original which was a classic. Why does it need to be yellow :bitchy:

Those aren't Mitre deltas. Google "mitre delta 1000" to see what one really looked like.

That and the Adidas tango were iconic designs that look better than these pink and yellow things we get today.

Surely that's just the winter one.

Quite.

A shiny, "advanced" pink and yellow ball called a Mitre Delta isn't actually a real Delta Mitre as was scuffed to **** on the playground, and sometimes even top grass, of Parsons Green Primary School circa '94-95

That picture oozes class. Everything about it is great.

The ball, the strip, the sweatbands, the black boots and most of all the player.

Love it.

Would rip your hair out if you headed it when it had a lot of spin on it. One of those to the ear on a cold morning left a constant ringing in your ear. I can always remember the pinging noise they made when you booted it!

Wish they'd go back to using white balls rather than this yellow pish. Asides from the odd occasion it starts snowing it's really unnecessary.

Mitre Multiplex was surely the most prolific football of all time. Used by pro and amateur, it ruled the 70's and was still being used well into the 90's in the amateur leagues.

The moldmaister, for anyone under 40 was the standard primary school league football. Rock hard, dimpled plastic/ rubberised surface, hurt beyond belief when heading it or receiving a hard one at close quarters. Incredibly hard work to get the ****** off the ground. Total joke of a ball.

I like your thinking but it was Mita Copiers they were sponsored by when they lost the league and cup within a week.

Anyone remember the plastic Captain football's from the 70's? Mainly came in orange, sometimes white. They really stang when you got hit in the thigh!!!

It's £115 for the "real deal" and £12 for a replica from the Mitre website

Always used a mitre multiplex when I was in school in the 80's. Pumped up so hard it was like kicking a brick!!
