And also played Casper as a lone striker.

It's weird because there is also a thread on JBK that he has signed for them!

It was nothing like a done deal when it was claimed. Still isn't either way. Hearts have offered the better deal. He still prefers Hibs. It's not done yet... unfortunately

And Crane

:agree:

Even if Whittaker returns, a big season for this guy surely?

I hope he's busting a gut in pre-season desperate to take his chance when it comes.

If they offer 3 years, and we offer 2, then fair enough because I for one think 3 years is too much for a 32 yr old player, despite his credentials and his past performances at ER. he took the money, and went to the sevco . did he have an offshore deal too?

A 3 year contract is even worse for a 33 year old

I agree with you. I wouldn't give him 3 years either - or pay through the nose through would love him to come back.
It's not my logic, it's his. Gratitude, respect, loyalty and further possibilities to sum up without directly quoting. Hibs were very good to him and his family and he has a huge amount of appreciation. I'm not going to quote what he has said exactly. I don't know what is going to happen either. What I don't know is he preferred hibs before and after hearts made an improved offer and he was/is very close to agreeing to come back. That was before the weekend and I'm not privy to what's happening day to day - he's still on his hols too.
I don't know if he had an overseas account at sevco and if I did I wouldn't be for posting anything about it on here lol

Predictive text!
'Though would love him to come back'
'What I do know'!

As I recall Hibs took Rangers money too. I don't remember Whitty angling for a move or us being too upset about receiving a couple of million quid in return.

His boyhood support for Hearts must feel like a different lifetime. His career at Hibs will mean more.

Much the same with John Robertson, who apparently grew up a Hibs fan but understandably now has closer ties to Hearts.

Impeccable source last night confirmed done deal with Hibs, that's all I know no further details on length of contract etc.

I'll only believe it when the club announce it. Let's be honest, nobody really knows.

They knew about Harris going to Falkirk and Cummings going to Nottingham forest.

Not before the thread started on here.

There is loads of rubbish posted on here however the Cummings to forest story was a genuine 'scoop' for this site.

Who cares if somebody says something that doesn't happen? Big deal.

I will read the stuff if it happens it happens if not so what. Just dont bother reading it then.

Agreed, anyone can post within the rules. Its the accompanying teeth gnashing and posturing prefaced by "if this true" that makes threads go way ott. Drama queens.
