If he plays well he might make it into my all time best Hibs ginger XI.

Welcome Simon and good luck mate.

As soon as you pull on the green and white you'll understand why this club is so special. :aok:

Could potentially also miss the 1st game of the season along with McGregor and Gray if he loses his appeal.

The second red card wasn't a dive - he was tripped. He kinda hammed it up as he went down, maybe, which is probably why the assistant thought he was at it, but the replay on TV was absolutely clear - there was contact, he was fouled, and actually he should have had a penalty.

At least it means he's already used to the "fair and impartial" manner in which referees treat Hibs players these days ....

They must have heard he was signing for us. :greengrin

Welcome to Hibs Simon ..... like all new players you will be given a full half hour to win the fans over :greengrin

Nah, just kidding ..... If he can motivate himself the way he does in front of 6,500 at Tannadice, just imagine how up for it he will be in front of 15,000 and more every other Saturday at Easter Road. I think he's gonna' love it and it will show in his game :aok:

I previously compared him to a very raw, early days Colin Stein on here. There's been many other Hibs players over the years who perhaps weren't the most technically gifted but they became fan favourites because they gave 100% for the jersey in every game. ( Martin B is a good current example ). Make no mistake, this is a huge opportunity for SM & I believe his non stop endeavour & harrying of defences will create more opportunities for JC. Welcome to Hibs Simon.

Be interesting to see how he develops, certainly plenty raw potential there.

Good signing to get done early doors imo.

Welcome to Hibs Simon. Will you be dying your hair green so it matches the shirt like at your last club?

I think what we'll try and do throughout the summer is acquire players that can play in a team that's rapid on the break and solid at the back. Murray (and Swanson) will be absolutely perfect for that style of play so will be interesting to see who else we bring in to compliment him and Swanson. Welcome to the Leith Simon!

Hope he's learned a lesson. If he hadn't taken a dive in the first half United might have been promoted.

Oh yes, and I would imagine that that's something Ray McKinnon has already explained to him very clearly indeed.

And I'd be surprised if some of his former team-mates haven't made the point as well. It was a damn silly thing to do and it's cost United dear.

And I suspect that Neil will have a word with him about it also. I hope we don't see any "simulation" from any of our players in the coming season; it's a blight on the whole game.

Welcome to Hibs. A guy with potential that isn't afraid to have a run at defenders.

Some have no even given him that! Cannae believe the negativity surrounding this signing. Hope the lad Rams their words right down their throats.

good player by the looks of it, no one should be judging him on a couple of games, we dont see him every week and he has scored quite a few goals in a crap team. Can only get better as well

I'm hearing there's a crowd forming outside Simpsons to berate the newborns for not being Hibs class.
