Don't know the reason why but even I've stayed in Dundee longer than him.

He thought the players had downed tools after they secured top-flight survival. That seemed to suggest to him that he couldn't motivate them.

Sky ! - money talks and it talked to him before he accepted the short term appointment

Will be alone as a pundit who wasn't punted.

Hedging his bets that Cathro is sacked early next season and he will be a lot more attractive to Hearts if he can be got for free without any compo is how I see it.

I read somewhere after his first two games that he was undecided what he would be doing at the end of the season. Probably decided that after we got promotion that he wasn't particular keen on sitting in the dug out at Easter Road next season. You know what these fans are like in the West stand. :greengrin

I'm going to be controversial here and admit I don't mind McCann as a pundit. He has evidently worked hard at it as he's improved massively from when he first started. He could hardly sting a sentence together at first but he's not too bad now. I don't find him coming across as anti Hibs.

Walker is a twat though.

I might be being harsh but I've always thought he's a dull, arrogant tosser.

David Tanner introduced the guests the other week there and McCann was there after being away at Dundee for a while, Tanner goes "and who are you again?" to McCann as a joke. Neil McCann just stared at him, no smile, nothing, as if to say "I'm Neil M****ingCann".

He's a gimp.

Just be bold my captain and I will hold your hairy hand, let's forget the treasure and will can skip along the sand.
Oh the tomobawk kid, do u know what he did on a cave on treasure island, 16 men on a dead mans chest, he didn't know where to find them. When we set sail across the 7 seas . There was Captain Dan, Billly Bones and me, and the tomowhk kid.

Or the budget for next year has been slashed

I suspect he has assessed the squad and next seasons budget and decided that they are not worth sacrificing his cushy Sky job and salary for.

McCann was offered 2 year deal but supposedly turned it down as Sky offer more money for his pundit role.

Jack Ross - Dundee fan has been there main target for a while and I think will end up there.

A few years ago, Dundee tried to sign a Division 2 player but lost out due to wages on offer - from Ballingry in the Juniors ! Having said that, they are now defunct having been a bit of a basket case club, but a good indicator of what sort of money is on offer at Dundee FC

Agree - I think he's a decent bloke. Just made poor choices of club while playing.

Post cup final all he did was talk about his achievements with Hearts and Rangers. Roaster.
