Changed the whole idea of what a TV presenter should be with his willingness to tackle just about anything, the more dangerous the better. The story that he gave it all up bought a boat with his missus and set sail into the sunset only to end up living in Majorca after putting into port there is exactly the sort of thing you would expect from him I guess.
What a guy he was I hope that when he made it upstairs 'Shep' was the first to greet him ..... the guy was a legend :not worth .... RIP
