Sam Allardyce

Not Hibs related, but I see he's left Crystal Palace and is retiring from football altogether. Controversial character in many ways, but he's done a good job keeping them in the premiership. He says it's for family reasons, and I tend to believe that, but who knows if there's been another sting operation involved somewhere along the line. Either way, he was certainly a character.

Alan Brazil said on this morning's TalkSport breakfast show that Sam Allardyce knew someone who had sadly died in the Manchester Terror attack on Monday evening and that this had made him make hie decision to take a step back from football and enjoy life for a while without the stress of football.

Right now this is unsubstantiated but Brazil did say this story will be publicised.
