OK, who told the St Mirren fans Ayr had taken the lead? :hilarious

They were celebrating because Ayr got a penalty. They missed.

I thought they were celebrating Dumbarton dropping points?

Dumbarton were already safe. I'd be pretty sure they had assumed the Ayr penalty had been scored.

Yup, Ayr penalty, which they then missed!

It was a bit strange. I tried to reconcile their reactions to what my app was updating me. Ayr equalising got a pretty half hearted response but the penalty they were awarded got the saints going mental and singing about staying up... I was convinced it must have been 2-1 at that stage.

Yeah but Dumbarton dropping points meant St Mirren moved into 7th place?

Don't think they would have celebrated like they did for that

I was listening to the radio at the game. They were about 30 seconds behind the Ayr goal with the celebration. At that point any score was OK. When the pen was awarded -same gap but someone must have said they'd scored as there was about 2 mins between the announcement and the pen being taken as the Raith players were arguing with the ref and the lino apparently.
