Glasgow Airport £2 drop off charge

Sorry to post a link to the DR but, apparently there's chaos at Glasgow airport due to the new drop off charge.
Best you know about it if you're heading that way with someone trying to catch a flight.

Anyone who has been to Edinburgh airport in the past 4 years would have had experience with the charged drop-off. Can't recall ever having any significant problems at Edinburgh, though in all fairness the airport parking is a fair trek from the nearest major road, so traffic tends to thin out.

Also had a little read of that article, and in typical DR fashion, claims that Glasgow is "Scotland's Busiest Airport". Which is strange, given it handled roughly 3 million fewer passengers and 25,000 fewer aircraft movements than Edinburgh Airport

Last time I got a flight at Edinburgh airport I was considerably more cheesed off at being charged £5.45 at wetherspoons for a bottle of Magners than I was at giving the taxi driver an extra quid for the drop off....

But this is Glasgow where they had to bar the middle doors of the bus to stop people running on without paying. Lord knows what they're doing to avoid paying here.
