I think that's you just volunteered.

Good news for you is that there are 11500 season tickets you won't need to count, and at least 1 walk up as I got my ticket a couple of weeks ago.

Let us know how you get on :greengrin

The only sections with significant numbers left are 01 and10 in the West, 25 in the FF and 45 in the East.

Heading for a traditional home end sell out.

The South should be opened.

St Mirren might fill one third of the South Stand but certainly no more than half.

Even if Saints finish ninth, I would back them against anyone in the Championship play off. Much the same for Raith Rovers.

They took 1500 to Falkirk the other week. If it's a crucial game for them I'd expect similar numbers, if not more.

That's a definite home sellout with over a week still to go.

Half the South and we could be looking at 19k plus

The rate of sale for this game is way in excess of any other League game this season. Home stands will probably sell out over the next few days and I'd expect an announcement on opening the South for home fans soon. If it's split in an optimum manner, it should be close to a sell-out, providing on how must-win it is for Saints relegation prospects.

Heading for our best league attendance. It's been a staggering season attendance wise not that you would notice it from the press coverage. Should give our management team a good shot at signing two or three additions like Swanson.

When you think about it even if Saints beat Raith on Sat they would still need something at us to guarantee their safety.

So they will still bring a good support.

It's impossible for St Mirren to be safe going into the game against us.

The best they can hope for is to be two points clear of the play off spot going into that match so they could obviously be caught if we beat them.

The south stand holds almost 4000 people. With the best will in the world they would struggle to get much more than that through the gates if it was a home game for them so there's no danger that anything like 4000 St Mirren fans will travel to Easter Road.

They'll have between 1500 and 2000 there maximum and even that's being generous.

Were they not only given an initial allocation of 900 or around that figure Havent heard if they have sold that and been given more
If they are given more they will bring 1 500 easily enough if they still need a point to avoid the play offs They took more than that to Falkirk and Morton recently

You would know better than me Ronnie. I'm slavering nonsense again based on nothing more than an impressionistic whim. As is generally the case. No matter, I hope the buddies come through in droves. The more the merrier and should enhance a great atmosphere. I hope Hibs can split the stand to maximize the crowd. Four full stands would be a fitting farewell to this strange but beautiful championship sabbatical.

Exactly, every club should get as little of the South as possible, provided we can fill the rest with Hibs fans. With the exception of Hearts, hopefully there's an agreement allowing both clubs to have the full away end at the opponents ground.

Thanks. It's 15k now so you have to think we will sell at least another 3k before the game and possibly total sellout. For me with St Mirren decent following assuming they are still in relegation race say 1k fans - we will almost certainly sell another 2-3k so 18-19k minimum.

Given that they're not playing until the Sunday, there's probably a very good chance that a few of them will pop along to the away end.

The St Mirren fans can reminisce with them all about that glorious day in 1986 when The Famous had their big moment when they were relying on St Mirren doing them a favour against Celtic after they had blown it against Dundee. :greengrin

Really looking forward to this!

See it as a farewell to this league!

Been an interesting week ride but time to be back where we belong!

Will also be a final chance to show appreciation to players who may be moving on in summer and show others we care and want them to stay (SJM and JC etc).

Maybe but it is rather conveniently situated opposite Waverly Station for someone getting the train home.

For convenience you can't beat the new(ish) Wetherspoons on Waverley Bridge. The Waiting Room used to be Jimmy Chungs.
It has electronic arrival and departure boards, so you may be able to pack in another pint if your train is delayed :greengrin

Yeh, it means that's the only choice that students have. Could be more clear but adults are still allowed to use that option.

I recall Ibrox in the 1990s when Hibs fans were located below the Huns. Every goal was greeted with gargoyles leaning over and gobbing from the top while others were throwing cupfulls of piss.

Meanwhile the stewards and Strathclyde Police were 'looking the other way'.

And for further convenience, download the Wetherspoons app and you can pay/order from your table. Much faster service than going to the bar as the place always seems quite busy, and like most Wetherspoons pubs the clientele seems alien to regular pub etiquette and will stand in one long queue in the middle of the bar even though there is staff all along the length of it ready to serve!

TBF, I've never seen staff at any Wetherspoons ready to serve. At other pubs the staff look for the customers. At W's they stand rigidly looking ahead forcing customers to keep moving up & down the bar trying to get served. That's why a Q at W's makes sense. PS at W's in Surbiton on Sat the barman achieved the quite remarkable feat of, a) forgetting he'd poured 3 Guinness & b) forgetting where he'd left them! The price is right in W's but the service invariably is awful.

We can't sell any above them though, and segregation would stop us selling any in the 'West' half of the stand, so it makes sense to give them the whole upper and lower 'West' half of the stand, and sell the 'East' half to Hibs. The original 600 would have been the two lower sections.

Why are they only opening one section at a time in the South?

If they allow Hibs Fans in the end section, then the section next to it can't be used by away fans, due to segregation under the stand and the entrances and exits used by Hibbies. Why not just open half the lower (then half the upper if there's demand)?

Seems a bit control freakery to do it this way.

Yes.

9th from the Championship will play 4th from League One and 2nd from League One will play 3rd from League One.

Both matches will be over two legs and the winners will play each other for a place in the Championship next season.

They want as many sections filled so it looks busy We haven't had top and bottom of the South used for Hibs fans i don't think this Season So assume they don't want to open the Upper Section unless demand dictates it
More Stewards to employ more pies etc to order so its up to the fans to snap up the Lower Sections first
Just like Hamden when we all complained they weren't selling J 7 and 8 Or opening the South Upper

Based on a dot count (understating the West Stand capacity by perhaps 700).

West Stand.......................5,753 (Lower 3,157, Upper 2,596)

North Stand......................3,811 (Lower 2,164, Upper 1,647)

East Stand........................6,338

I think East is quoted as holding 6400 (See here (http://www.fcbusiness.co.uk/news/article/newsitem=110/title=hibernian+fc+to+get+new+stand)). West 6000 (see here (http://www.easterroad.com/easter-road/rebuilding-easter-road/)). FF 3500 and South 3500. (however I believe c 3700 each see here (http://www.easterroad.com/easter-road/rebuilding-easter-road/) and here (http://www.hibs.net/showthread.php?172756-Capacity-of-Easter-Road-Stands-**Updated-figures**) (see post 5/6)) ..So c. 20226 capacity.

Yet again fantastic support gonna be brilliant atmosphere hibbys in all four stands let's make this happen at most games next season I've already done my bit and renewed and also got a mate to by his first season ticket in a while wouldn't it brilliant if as many hibbys as possible persuaded family member or mate to even just one in their crowd to purchase s/t or get along to the Leith SAN Siri on a regular basis which would not only provide the manager with more funding but create a more hostile atmosphere for visiting teams we are on a roll let's all keep doing our bit for this great club !!!!!

This gets my goat as well ......... Scottish football gets huge media coverage whenever its bad news, none more so than Hibs with the pitch invasion, so much so that BBC Scotland chose to utterly ignore 150,000 people on the streets of the capital in favour of the pitch invasion on Reporting Scotland the following Monday .... not to mention our link to historic child abuse.

With the amount of negativity surrounding the game from the child abuse stuff to one club utterly dominating the domestic game and the ongoing failure of the national side, you would think the SFA and SPFL would be making a huge deal of both big Edinburgh clubs ( no offence City ) attracting their best crowds in decades ...... its their sodding JOB to jump on stuff like this and use it as a positive to promote the game, but what do we get from them ..... nothing !!!

I have utterly no experience in advertising or promotional work ........... I bet a million quid to a bath of beans that I could do a better job promoting the game than these idiots, the whole thing is made even worse when you consider that our very own chairman has the ear of the SFA.

looked like Rangers fans in upper tier and celtic fans in lower tier at Ibrox last week?

I never watched it HH so not sure but with St Mirren a vertical split should be fine. When we go through there we go to the bowling club and have a great time - their support will be ok
