I'm sure Dundee United signed a couple of strikers from that level and they were mince. Let's hope, if we sign this boy, that he's better than that. His scoring record this season is certainly very good.

In all these cases it's a quick look on Football Manager to see his stats. 6' 2" Polish striker, 97 games 40 goals and only 23 years old.

Goals to game ratio for only 23 is good, probably similar to that if Cummings.

Scored a lot of goals then moved to charlton where it never worked out for him. Back to his first team and banging them in again

23 goals in 35 apps this season would suggest he knows where the net is..

Although, Kezman knew where the dutch net was and couldnt hit a barn door down south...

Only 23, would be willing to give him a shot with Cummings!

Well that's ok as long as you're willing to give him a shot doesn't matter what Lennon thinks now 👍😜

To my recollection the Express doesn't have a terribly impressive record for accuracy in transfer stories regarding Hibs. Like somewhere around 0%?

I'll believe this when I see the Guy at ER in a Hibs shirt.

Irrespective of the level, his technique, positioning and opportunism look good on the video.

Has to be better than Holt, if we are going to play with a big target man then any improvement is good.

Hate to say it but although I loved Houchy he was pretty gash for us overall imo.

Edit - I would also say Mixu and Brewster also did far better jobs than Houchy.

Clearly didn't cut it at Charlton in League 1, but is a decent goal record in the Dutch leagues.

Good shout although I wouldn't really say Keith Keitj was an out and out target man type. Houchy was a giant but I'd also say he was a bit soft and couldn't really play as a big target man.

Absolutely awful song on the video though :bitchy: Not sure I could agree to any signing unless his taste in music improves.

All you can do is trust those in charge to sign the right players.
Hate those video's showcasing player. They can make an average player look like a world beater and a duffer good.
I would prefer Hibs shopped in Scotland for players where to an extent they know what they are getting. McGinn was a no risk signing and the likes of Mallen would be the same.

I agree to a large extent but two things sprin to mind. Signing a Polish player might encourage some Polish expats along and it is the most vital position in the team arguably maybe no one good enough available here at the right price.

Yup, exactly. You just ignore the 's'.

And his first name -

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=siFi7fJec3Q

He is NOT called Pee-yoat-ri or Pee-yoater.

Charlton fans used to just call him Polish Pete. I hope we get the chance to do the same. He looks a decent player.

Because it's not actually there?

The "rz" and the other "z" (which should be a ż) are both different polish vowel sounds but as they don't exist in English they sound near enough identical
