So, all we need to do to get into europe is to beat Aberdeen and an OF team in the final.

And ok, yes, it's a pretty tall order, I know. But put in those terms there is probably as much chance of that happening as Hearts finishing 4th. And yet they keep going on about getting into Europe! Even paying money they can't afford to relay their pitch with that very end in mind - idiots!

Now I wonder what the odds are on us winning the cup and Hearts finishing 4th. :greengrin

But not as concise as AT.

Indeed so!

But in comparing Hearts and Hibs routes into Europe I think my, ever so slightly, long winded way edges it.:greengrin

But looking at the schematics of the league and taking into account that they may have overestimated the stage they're at as a team and combining all that with being the "big club" it's almost exactly like winning the league no?

I mean you don't get a trophy. Or a place in Europe. Or the prize money. And yes 5 other clubs finished above you and probably more than 5 other clubs got more points than you.

But it's like finishing first in all the other ways.....

IF we win the cup, what round would we enter the Europa League qualifiers?

1st round qualifying round, 29th June and 6th July

Is it worth the hassle financially?

Is it worth the hassle financially?Yes because we'd have to win the cup to get in it. That is always going to be worth it financially. We get 200k just for qualifying as well.

Think 1st round is Regional, so maybe not as much travelling

I thought it's the 2nd qualifying round we would enter? That's the round we entered when we played Brondby this season. The team in 2nd and 3rd entered in the 1st qualifying round - sheep and yams.

Hardly, its based on coefficient. If you want to blame anyone, blame Hearts. Lost to a Maltese pub team

I don't think I have it in me to assign blame for that.
Far, far too funny.

Changed for next season as the co-efficiency has dropped thanks, in part, to Hearts losing to a Maltese pub team.
