IMHO, Hibs and Championship POTY by a country mile. Sevco's loss has been Hibs massive gain. Amazing signing.

A crazy decision, that has thankfully been hugely beneficial for us.

Hes been an excellent signing, and hopefully sees out his career with us.

Every week I put £1 on Darren to score the 1st goal and Hibs to win 3-0, well as you know it happened today, £190 richer, thank you Darren, will still keep doing the same bet every week, looks like he is on a scoring streak!! PS marathonbet odds were 56/1 !!:aok:

First pro contract at 24, been through two serious injuries that may have seen careers suffer, left Sevco as their POTY, came to his boyhood club, helped end a 114 year hoodoo and got them promoted.

A properly admirable and inspirational character.

What a Hibby, doing everything the rest of us would have done if we'd been good enough, lucky enough and fit enough to do.

Special mention to the magic hat for releasing Darren, he certainly knows a defender, paying Philipe Sendhimoff god knows how much to not play, and wheeling out "defenders" like Tavernier and Tiernan against us in the cup final.

Living the dream and showing what it means to him. My player of the year and as posted above his next contract with us should be long enough and secure enough to be his last.

Only been at the club for 2 seasons but he'll go down in history with some of the other greats like Baker, Turnbull, Sauzee and Gray

The guy is a real Hibernian legend and one of our own.

I've met Darren a couple of times socially through family and can vouch that he is as genuine off the park as he is on it. You can tell what it means for him to be playing for the club he supported all his life.

Easily Hibs most consistent player this season and with that the best.

We've had plenty Hibs supporters that have played for us over the years. But I don't think it meant anywhere near as much to them as it does to this guy. Don't know if it's just because he's taken a bit of a different path to get to where he is but I don't think I've ever seen a player who is so desperate play and win games for Hibs.

Think you could be right.

We've had plenty Hibs fans who played for the Hibees at an early age - many of them theink they've made it or using Hibs only as a stepping stone.

With McGregor, it's different. You get the feeling there's not another club in the world he would want to play for.

Hibs Player of the Season for me

As much as I like the man too I think Lewis Stevenson should get it, there has been no one more consistent and this past couple of months especially he has been our best player in most of the games I've seen.

I love him. He's so proud to play for our club and it shows in his performances. I'd be delighted if he was here until his eventual retirement and beyond - an incredible character to have at the club and a superb defender all the same. Would make an excellent coach IMO.

Had a quick chat with him at the Hibs Club PoTY and he really is a top guy. He had so much time for everybody and stayed behind after every player had left more or less, to get photos in the hall at the front door. One of us, wish we signed him years ago.
