Here's a nice bit of trivia (definite Hibs content)

Who was the top scorer in the inaugural Champions League (1992/93) Group Stages...

Absolutely!

I had no idea he had been top scorer in those first group stages (and only Romario got more than him in the tournament as a whole)

One of the few players you can say "I was privileged to see him play the sport" :flag:

I can only just remember parts of Sauzee, I was only 7 or 8 when he arrived. But what an incredible signing he must have been at the time. Was he well known by everyone? Or because there was less coverage of European football back then was it a case of he came with a huge pedigree but nobody knew much of him?

Somewhere in the middle of the 2 I would say. He did score vs the Old Huns in the CL group stage referred to above, which helped his profile in Scotland. :wink:
