Have you seen this?

What a story!

His name was Henry Summers - but who was he?

I read that earlier on today, quite a good piece of journalism from the BBC. Very sad story in a lot of ways, but he seemed to have had a decent life all and all. And a Hibby too, as you say :)

I've just finished reading this and was about to post about it too.

Sounds like he had a good life, but it's so sad that he wasn't missed for such a long time.

I used to live in thorntree st in the 60s and 70s, and my dads name was Henry and he was also known as Harry.

I dont remember this guy, although i must have seen him many times then?

That reminds me of friend of mine called Danny. He often used to sit beside me at the speedway in the bar at Armadale. He would never miss a home match. A new season started and Danny did not appear for the first match. I asked around when he did not show for the next couple of weeks. He had no telephone land line although he did have a mobile phone, but rarely kept it charged up.No one seemed to know where he lived. Some months later his body was found inside his tenement in Edinburgh.

All very sad.

Fabulous, albeit sad story.

Follow up story on who paid for the funeral to come perhaps.
