Somebody's just driven a large truck into a crowd outside a large department store in central Stockholm, 3 killed (so far). Could be another terrorist incident, seemingly shots fired.

Sounds horrendous. If it does turn out to be terrorist-linked it's fast becoming a sorry fact that these sort of despicable and cowardly attacks are going to be a regular part of our lives. How on earth do you go about preventing them?

I recall that bizarre claim from Trump a few weeks back about an incident in Sweden that never was. It seemed at the time he'd been watching some documentary about the rise of jihadism in Sweden and not an actual news bulletin. However, it did seem to me at the time that the mockery and 'hey we're all OK here in Sweden' reaction seemed just a tad OTT when the country does in fact have a significant jihadi presence:

I know what you mean. These islamic terrorists seem to be very simple in the mind it is maybe why they are so easily manipulated into doing these attacks.

Thank god for our dedicated security services doing all they can to stop more extreme attacks.

It's sick comparison i know but thankfully were not dealing with an Andreas Brevik (spelling) who was very clever and also very sick and dangerous.

Absolutely right. All they have left is driving hire cars into pedestrians and running around with an Argos kitchen knife. They are pathetic.

I actually think giving them the title of terrorists and using terrorism legislation against them is giving them too much. They should be tried as common criminals.
