It's not often this can be said with true intent. We would like to draw attention to this cause and we know Paul wants to say thank you.

Wow what an amazing story that is. Hope he gets his target for a new defibrillator. Played football with Paul a number of years back and a genuinely lovely guy.

Was Paul head boy at St Augustine's?

He was indeed head boy, a couple of years below me at Augies, and a very good footballer to boot.:aok:

I had the good fortune of bumping into him at ER today, as I was getting my Semi tickets. A nicer chap you couldn't meet.

Big thanks to Kitty and team for saving his life. The World needs characters like Paul.

Donation on it's way..

Yup he was a Wee bit older than me and a really nice guy. Supports a great team too. Shocked to hear about his health issues but great to hear he was heavy petting
the physio. :)

I beleive Paul played a couple of reserve games as a youngster. Could never get the ball off him when we played.

He did indeed play for our reserves as a youngster.

Brilliant effort Paul, now sitting at over 10k :aok: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/PaulBurnsDefibs

Below is one of Paul's photos from the Pink News back in 1974. Jimmy O'Rourke doing the honors and handing out the winners medals.

Question - There is a Dad of a present day player at the club in this photo, can you name him? :cb

I'll give you one point for Paul. :greengrin

His Dad's name is in fact Derek, as in Hanlon.
