With hanlon fit, who is now our best right back?
Is gray's place under threat when fit?! Think it may be

Gray is our best right back but he's also our only right back.
Forster and Ambrose can play that position as a back up but I wouldn't ever start them over Gray.
That said it's an interesting discussion about whether we should be looking at a change in the summer.
The heart says the man is a legend and he scored a goal that is a contender for the most important goal ever scored by a Hibs player.
The head says that he's in a worrying patch of form where he's been at best average going forward and quite poor defensively.
I also think having your club captain play a position that may not be required in all the formations a manager might want to play is an issue.
I think at Championship level there's a good case for playing three Centre halfs and two out and out wingers.

I would like to see a more attacking formation too, especially at home. Three at the back
Ambrose
McGregor
Hanlon
with Barclay giving front cover.
Use a creative midfield three of Fyvie, McGinn and McGeouch and then a varied front three with at least one wide (Boyle, Cummings , Graham say)
We have too many defenders in most home games who then do too little in terms of attacking.
Whoever we field should be too good for Morton at ER.
Sorry for above post, i have tried to delete, but for some reason its not happening, never read full posts :rolleyes::rolleyes:

Nice selection for Lennon to have, 2 players coming back from international duty, a winning side, Dylan and Paul back playing, subs making an impact, and possibly a fit David Gray as well

The nice thing about playing those 3 at centre half as well, is that 2 are very good with the ball at their feet. Would give us more options when playing out from the back, or when needing to utilise them in keeping possession.

The "tin man" only has 1 leg after having to have a preventative amputation. Was reading about him a few weeks ago and he seems a really decent guy (Derby fans in particular have him as a bit of a cult hero).

I know Laidlaw was signed as back-up, but anybody else think it's harsh to drop him against Morton?

Not at all to be honest bob. While he does tend to do fine, yesterday his error gave away the corner that led to the goal.

Big fan of Bartley but don't let Morton's form fool you - they will do what every away team does in this league and sit back and defend. McGeouch is preferred because he can attack as well as do Bartley's job.
I think Shinnie's been in good form and if he has recovered he should start ahead of Keatings.
