Would 100% take him back at Hibs.

Great professional, can play a number of positions, great experience and a local lad!

Yup. Would definitely take him back. Imagine him would pick up a lower championship club who could blow us out the water on wages though.

Never heard him say a bad word about Hibs since leaving and comes across as a quiet, polite guy and good pro.

Would love him to come back to Easter Road.

I posted a while ago that out of Brown, Whittaker, Fletcher. Griffiths and Miller I expected two or three of them to come back to Hibs.

I still think it's possible / probable.

Would take him back in a heartbeat, probably the best attacking right back we have had since John Brownlie and I would imagine he is a better defender than he was back in his early days. As usual we will probably be behind the likes of S****horpe and Burton Albion in the wages stakes ...... we would probably need his heart to rule his head.

I liked all of the above especially Broony but TBH, Leigh is the only one I'd want to see in a Hibs jersey again. Let the others ride into the sunset somewhere else.

I would take Brown, Whittaker and Fletcher as long as it was sooner rather than later.

I would take Sparky anytime.

I think Miller is too old now.

Not stirring, all of those players have commented that they would like to play for Hibs again. They have made their money and whilst not being charity acts if they wanted to play for Hibs I don't think they would be too hard to deal with (assuming we wanted them!!!!).

Great player for us. Guy I used to sit next to in the West Upper couldn't stand him. I snapped after one bit of abuse too many and told him he was the best right back I'd seen and we'd not see a player as good as him in that position for years. Boy was raging. The eejit has probably just about expired in rage at some of the imposters who've played there until SDG.

Can't see him back at ER.

I'm not so sure.

Guys like him, Naismith, Lafferty, etc that walked out without Rangers getting a bolt are despised at Ibrox.

Hibs would be the sensible option.

I suspect we will be his move after his next one...think he can play at a higher level (and wage) than us....would be a real coup to get him back at this time

Didn't realise he played more games for Oldco than us. They still hate all those that left when they went bust so can't see them as an option. Comes across as some who has looked after himself, maxed his ability and doesn't appear to have squandered his earnings. Could be a great role model for the younger players and a more than useful addition to the squad.

As I recall, there were constant threads on here about whether he was good enough at RB for us! A bit like Fletcher, some folk found it hard to appreciate what we had.

He's a player with a very good touch which explains why he has made himself a decent career.

His dribble out the box in Dnipro is enough to make him a club legend in my eyes!

I think he's at an age where he will be looking for one final big payday down in England. Can't blame him either but can see him signing a 2 year deal with a lower end Championship team given the difference in salary available in England compared to up here.

I haven't seen him play in a long time but if he's anything like the player he was 10 years ago would be delighted to have him back.

My only worry is that if he's started to lose a bit of pace that could really affect his game. We need fullbacks that can get up and down the park and I tend to see it as a position for younger players with that drive and stamina.

Largely down to Petrie strangely enough :0
Has all the time in the world for the man and the help he got with his move to the now defunct Rangers.

That's the rangers way. Older players with no sell on value. We should be going for younger players who we can develop and improve. As per SJM.

There's nothing wrong with a bit of experience to compliment that though. Especially when it's someone as good as Whittaker.
