For the first time since I have been going to Hibs games (35+years)I will not be at Hampden to see the semi final. It is for a very good reason it is my daughters 21st that day and we are Hoping to watch the game in a pub in Heidelburg. Anyone have any knowledge of any decent bars in the city?

Since no one has responded (thought we had Heidelberg Hibs?) I've asked my mate who studied there and still has mates that live there... if I hear summit back I'll let you know...

Try the Hibeeburg on Albion Strasse.

Seriously, there are two Irish bars - the Dubliner and O'Reillys - so good luck. Heidelburg is a rugby town I gather.

Never knew the Germans had any interest in Rugby...

Find a sports bar and ask them if they will show it.

That worked in Athens a year or so back for the Rangers-Hibs match.

Not much but their national side played in the Melrose 7s last year or the year before.

If O'Reillys in Heidelberg is still there, that's your best chance, they definitely show UK and Irish football, obviously may struggle if there is English game on there. You may struggle in Heidelberg as its very touristy and/or student depending on where you go, albeit a beautiful place for a day visit. Not been for a good few years but there was one other Irish bar there, but cant remember if it had screens.

Can you not convince here for a day trip to Frankfurt, its about an hour away on train, you could watch footie in O'Reillys bar near train station, she could go shopping in nice centre, could cost you though :-) I would phone first though as they do show English games, they are always pretty helpful on phone,

Thanks for the info. I'll get her to check out the Irish bars, I'm sure that shouldn't be too much of a problem for her😂

As this game is on BBC Scotland, will overseas pubs actually be able to pick this up? I have the same problem myself with a pre-booked holiday

If the worst comes to the worst though, LiveNow!tv app (Android and Ios) streams most mainstream British channels, including BBC Scotland and other regions. It's free and doesn't require a vpn. On a good wifi signal it's good enough to mirror onto a suitable tv.

On Google Play, I think it's this, different name but the same logo appears on the LiveNow!tv app
