I really have become confused about this rule about there being no TV matches when there is Champions League games on. Our game v Hearts wasn't allowed on tele as there was CL games on, but I see that Man City v Stoke is on Sky Sports this Wednesday, at the same time as 2 CL games. How is this allowed?

They will just pay the fine or Sky or the FA will pay it for them.

There must be other punishments FIFA can hand out, English clubs are just taking the piss because they can afford to pay the fine that they get and at the same time stick 2 fingers up to FIFA, while other leagues who can't afford it just have to accept it.

Agreed but it was ever thus Silver. It's the rich wot gets the pleasure, it's the poor wot gets the blame! The irony is the games that are not allowed to be shown will usually get a much smaller TV audience than the EPL games which are shown..

So it's really a ban at all. It's a toll for those who can afford to travel.

Mentioned this on another thread, this is a rearranged match due to the FA cup. Does that not allow them to televise it? Also its a 20:00 kick off.

Maybe not being televised is a good thing, we never seem to lose derbies when we are not on the box! :greengrin
