View Full Version : Can we sell out Dundee Utd this Friday night?

GreenCastle

Last time was one of the best atmospheres this season - non stop singing and great numbers for a Friday night game on TV.

This is an even bigger game and a full away end would hopefully spur the team on to get something out the game.

Can we sell out our full allocation this time behind the goals and at the side?

Let's do it!

I just noticed D-Utd are no longer second, although they do have a couple of games in hand.

If they beat us and win their game in hand then they will one point behind us!

I would settle for a draw in this game.
A loss would be a big problem.

We won't sell out, because dufc will release more tickets up to 5000. I think we would only have that many if it was to clinch the title. Still a long way to go in this campaign. We will have a huge support though. The team need to turn up and play for more than 20 minutes.

Im saving up for my Scottish cup final weekend.

Seriously though I really wish I could be there (cant get out of work and dont think I can make Dundee from Blackpool in a couple of hours - if only) I think the atmosphere will be terrific. Instead I'll be sat in my local on my own watching on tv kicking every ball, a screen to myself while the rest of the pub watches Brighton v Derby, the heathens.

Scottish Cup truly on the backburner. We can take a big step towards winning the league by winning on Friday, let's get behind the boys.

Hope it does, this'll be the first Utd game I've missed this season. The support was outstanding up there back in December, shame about the result.

It's based on your location at the time, so as long as you're in Paris you can watch it.

Any news if the drum is still banned for this one ? Last time the guys did well to improvise without it.

Dundee Utd and their joyless stewards have refused a few clubs fans with drums entry. The atmosphere the last time was magnificent despite that, with a large, boisterous Hibs crowd really up for it. The Friday night seems to be popular with the fans, and TV shouldn't have too much impact on the numbers, and as we forget the Cup for now and start to look back to the league, those remaining tickets should sell out in the next few days.

We should go all out to win this. United will be fired up but are nothing special and can be taken by a gutsy performance. I just hope the right Hibs team shows up.

We need to start like we normally do in big games. Hearts this year and last, the cup final, United at Home, Ayr in the cup. All guns blazing as teams cannot cope with us in that mood. Yes we may tire late on, but we won't blow up like Dunfermline game as we haven't had an energy sapping derby days earlier. Early lead and put the game to bed ASAP.

That last one up there with the santa hats was all set up for a celebration and we all left a bit flat.

This time I smell victory

exactly how 'restricted' is the restricted view in the fair play stand upper :dunno: and is it allocated seating in the west stand ?

Yeah it's allocated seating in the West. Not sure about the restrictions though, although I was at the front of the top tier for the last game and there was nothing to impede my view.

Doubt the drum will be allowed this time either.

Isnt a big deal, the lad just took his sticks in and battered the metal sheeting at the back of the stand. Worked well enough.

Great atmosphere at the game in November.

tickets for the game arrived today - T.O only posted 5/6 of them and i'm away to Glasgow early on thursday and won't be back home so having to trek down to the stadium on my lunch break tomorrow to pick the other up, that's assuming they've not already posted it out in which case it'll probably be too late.. brilliant.

Still selling section W2 which I presume is the second section from the left as you look at the stand, presumably from that we haven't sold many in the west stand.

We won't sell out but we will have a very healthy crowd up there.

Some people, like my brother for example, will be going to the game but don't have a ticket yet so they'll just be paying at the gate on the night.

We have 'sold out' our initial allocation. It's just the home support isn't massive so we get near on half the stadium if required.
We will have 4000 or more which is excellent.:flag:

They are selling up to the 3rd block behind the goals which is W3.

I think it goes up to W5.

Was the best away atmosphere so far this season, the last Friday night game (apart from Tynecastle) so if you know anyone who wants to sample an away game worth bringing them along.

There is a monthly option, which you could set up DD and then cancel after first payment, only works when you sign in while abroad though.
There maybe an easier option but you would need to go on the official site to see.
