Won £590 on a coupon where I'd put double the stake on that is meant to and also picked Hereford to win rather than to get beat. They hadn't won away all season... and they won 5-0. Couldn't believe my luck.

Not an actual win but a near miss, had done a few lines on a fixed odds coupon and had an odd 50p left so decided to do a stupid line of all the ridiculous odds to win, 16 results all at odds of 3 or 4 to 1 against and higher. 15 out of the 16 came up and the one result that didn't come up was Hibs at home to beat Aberdeen. This was back in the late 70's early 80's when we were mince. The line added up to over 6000 to 1.

Put a £1 10 games btts acca on once while watching soccer Saturday. Won with a 95th min goal for £350 highest odds bet Ive ever won.

Best 1 I have won was 2 bets on the same game. Liam Miller to score first and Liam Miller to score last for Hibs v St Mirren. He scored the 2nd goal in a 2-1 win and I still won both bets ;)

£12,000 on Newcastle to get relegated in 2008/9 when they were 40s before Christmas but playing so, so badly.

Didn't feel remotely guilty with Ashley the owner.

£1800 from £1 sections coupon with Ladbrokes, 2 from each section. Thought Arbroath were gonna let me down at home to Keith in the Scottish cup, they scored a 95th minute penalty.

I dont gamble but my dad did, thats why I dont. He won the pools in 1971,the biggest pools win in Scotland at the time, a consortium of three, his brother and a mate. They blew the lot in a party that lasted 10 years. It was some party but the bookies and pubs were the real winners.

Hi guys just wondering what the best coupon you have ever won is?

Mine was £900

my brother however won £83,000 from £100 a couple of year ago on a five fold...lucky bugger.

At least I got a couple of free holidays though.

The misus just reminded me of her bet.

10 fold btts, all up bar 1 game which was 0-0 in the 90th minute. Then 2 goals in a minute won her it.

It was the Doncaster game when they accidentally scored when playing a bounce ball back to the other keeper, they then let that team score a goal.

Luckiest bet ever

I feel worse now, thought I could have won about 3 grand if you're right I'd have bankrupted the bookie. :greengrin

I was was working with a guy who had worked in a betting shop and be worked out the odds, not sure how he did it but guessing it was all singles and not permed. Only remember it was an all or nothing line and that's exactly what I got.

Back in the 1980's as a student I was looking at the betting on the Forest v Luton league cup final. Luton were always going to come out if the traps like men possessed but forest were by far the better team. Bookies were offering 28/1 on ht/ft Luton/forest....I took £100 in cash out the bank and wrote the slip, but bottled it in the queue and changed it to £10. All went to plan and i bought a Chipie leather jacket with the £280 winnings, but it should have been 10 times as much.

I won £1100 a couple of weeks back - here's a slip: https://www.facebook.com/robbie.forsyth1/posts/10155872197337782

Was a pretty big rollercoaster with Real Madrid coming from two down, Man U and Barca scoring a late winner, and a few 1-0s, including the clincher being ten man Porto holding on to beat Boavista in the derby.

£5 seven fold accumulator returned my biggest ever win of £951.35, it included St Johnstone to beat Hibs as well, what a traitor! Was on a shop coupon too so went in and collected the cash in Glasgow city centre, I was feeling brave that day. Had a few other significant wins of between £200-£600 over the years, only had one this season which was on Boxing Day. Great day for betting that was.

I've never won much on a football coupon but back in the 1950s my dad had a good lift on the Vernon's treble chance. I was only about 6 or 7 at the time and didn't know what all the excitement was but I learned later that they had 8 draws and an away win, giving them a prize of £5k.......... a lot of candy in those days.

16 teams at 3 to 1 is over 40 million to I thinkBillions/1. What annoys me is the bookie would let you put it on knowing that you'd never get anything like that if it did happen to come up.

Even I read it thinking he's misspelt tenner the first time.

Not coupons.

Bet that Il always remeber

Was pissed before a Hibs v Rangers game at ER quite a few years ago. Me and 6 mates, must have been 2006? 2007?

We were all off work on holiday because we were meant to be going away, and ended up failing to save and had to cancel the holiday.

Put £20 on Hibs 3-3 Rangers (drunk bravado) and Kevin McCann anytime (actually covered my eyes and picked the goalscorer like that), all 6 of us done the bet.

McCann scored an absolute peach

150/1 = £3,000 each When Charlie Adam equalised with a free kick to make it 3-3, we had to stop ourselves from jumping about. We did once we got out the ground, only time ive been pleased at Hibs losing a goal

Went out that night and got blootered, then we all went down to the travel agents the next day, and booked a short notice 2 week break in Tenerife for £250 each!!

I actually told McCann about it on twitter aswell. He asked for a cut. :D

Won close to $1000 NZD (about £600) within 2 days in the World Cup 2014 - something like $300 from $10 on Suarez to score first, Uruguay 2-1 v England, and then a treble of win/BTTS bets which included that game and France hunping someone 5-2 the following day.

Barely won anything close to that since!

A few years ago I got 5 correct scores out of 6 on the Sky Sports Super 6. The one game that let me down was Arsenal v Everton, I had 2-1 Arsenal it finished 3-3 and Arteta missed a 94th minute penalty for Arsenal. If he scored I would have came top of the league that week and won £5000. If it finished 2-1 Arsenal I would have won £250k :boo hoo::boo hoo:

I watched the England v Argentina 1998 world cup match with a mate who was a heavy gambler. He'd put a spread on the time of the first corner (or something) and found himself £900+ down within the first 5 minutes. He then bet on the shirt numbers of the scorers and when Owen & Zanetti (20 & 22 respectively IIRC) scored, that swung things in his favour - he ended up over £3k up.

I was obviously pleased for him, but at times he was a real pain to watch matches with - he was often more interested in corners and throw-ins than the match in general.

Guy I know had £250 on hibs at Ibrox when we won 2-0, can't remember the odds but he was adamant we were going to win.

I was a last minute own goal conceded away from over £1k last year and then a couple of weeks later partick beat st Johnstone to ruin a 10 fold that returned £2k!

I promptly chucked the gambling after that

Few seasons ago when we were in the premier I put a quid on the opening weekend fixtures (6 games) spread over 3 days IIRC, I think there was a Friday game to KO.

Won £85 from my £1 stake. Shamefully had Hibs to lose (think we were the Sunday game live away to Motherwell) and the result I was hanging on for was the Hearts game, I had them to lose but they were 1-0 up. Thankfully I won the acca in the end as the Yams blew their lead.

Whenever Dundee Utd came to ER i always backed first goal to be scored in the last ten minutes inc added on time. Tenner on at 50 - 1 and hoped for the best 0.0 in injury time when we got a corner A few seconds later Matty Jack was down in the box and we had a penalty. Latapy stroked it home and that was that. Popped into Ladbrokes Monday am and as the money was slammed on the counter was told " You dont get this every week"

A few games later the odds were down to 25- 1 for the same bet. Thanks to one of the worst tackles ever seen at ER on poor Matty Jack my bet came up. I still wince when i think of that tackle

Best one I ever done was bet the six SPL fixtures to be draws, betting trebles, four folds and five folds (they wouldn't allow any more than five draws so no six fold unfortunately). 41 bets @10p was the stake.

We were up at Perth and a broken leg for Paul Wright meant a lengthy delay, the full time scores were read out whilst we still had a fair bit of our game left. I can still recall some of them, Aberdeen 0 Rangers 0 and Celtic 0 Dundee Utd 0 being two of them. Anyhow all five had ended up in draws but we were losing 2-1, however Pat McGinlay popped in an equaliser and my bet came in.

I got about £648 for my £4.10 and used it to buy the number plate HIB5 48.

I thought I had done well but met four boys from Musselburgh at the bowls the next week and they had done the same bet but with 41 bets @ £1 instead of 10p.

January 4th 2010 I placed a 50p, 9 team accumulator. Thought the chance was gone, then boom, a Scott Dann last minute winner for Birmingham City against Blackpool to win £350. The very next morning, while playing around with tricasts/forecasts on South African racing, i happened to pick a correct tricast in a 12 horse race. If memory serves me right first place was 40/1, second place was 25/1 and third place was 6/1. Returned £1800 for yet another 50p stake. So in the space of 14 hours i took Hills for over £2000, and all for an outlay of £1.
