According to the BBC Ryan Stevenson is in goals for Raith tonight lol...... If that's true the leadership in this country needs, to a man, to be sacked - every one of them involved in that decision.

That game tonight sums up a lot of our dropped points also; a bus parking bunch of huddies that score a lucky goal. And I hate these pitches.

That was one of the most one-sided games I've ever seen! Awful ground, no support, crap pitch. Really hope Hamilton go down.

Serves them right. I seem to recall Aberdeen doing the same thing at ER and somehow leaving with 3 points. No sympathy for them at all.

bbc weeg - Hamilton v Aberdeen

'"Incredibly, despite conceding 20 corner kicks and winning not a single one themselves, Hamilton held out for a quite astonishing and vitally important win."

Think we all know how Dons fans feel tonight having been involved in quite a few of these type of games this season.

They appear to have themselves to blame. They've already used up their loan allowance and haven't been able to persuade any out of contract player to play for them.

They would have been given special dispensation to sign a keeper if needed. They just couldn't get one. Game should have been postponed if they have no fit keepers.

They could have got that reserve keeper who quit Sutton united for eating a pie against Arsenal. :greengrin

I am sure there is a rule about not being able to field a team. Raith have nobody to blame for this than themselves and had to go with what they had. Not Yogi's fault though it has to have been the yam failure who got sacked that left them exposed to this situation.

Apparently they requested a postponement and were told no.

They were told no because they were free to sign a goalkeeper, any goalkeeper, but it was their fault the couldn't arrange a deal for one.

Did anyone hear Yogi's interview last night? He didn't want to say too much but probably did. Basically said Hearts cheated last year by waiting to the last minute to say they didn't have enough players, whereas Raith made the mistake of flagging the situation too early.

Hughes must have an anti-Hearts agenda. He failed to bring on The Legendary Snout again last night.

They had enough players, they just didn't have a goalkeeper, but could have signed one.

Edit: this is what SPFL have said:

"Raith Rovers had a number of options open to them once their only fit goalkeeper was injured," said the SPFL.

"They could have brought in an under-21 goalkeeper, or an out-of-contract goalkeeper of any age, in each case without any permission from the SPFL board.

"They could also have sought permission from the SPFL board to bring in a goalkeeper of any age on an emergency basis.

"All of these options were explained to Raith Rovers, who chose to do none of these things and instead requested a postponement on the day of the match."

No one to blame but themselves IMO. Incredible they wouldn't get an out of contract goalie to put himself in the shop window for a couple of weeks or so. Seems incompetent.
