I really do think Cathro has not had enough time to take Hertz forward. I think he should be given time.

What do you think and why?

Stay. Now that Father Ted is sadly no longer with us the only supporting gig available to the guy is potter's number two.

Has to stay. Doing a brilliant job and you heard the backing he got from the Hibs fans last night when we all sang "One Ian Cathro"

Keep it up I.T. man!

He's got to stay. I would be a fitbaw dinosaur and not willing to move with the times if he didn't get a chance...

I don't think that their progress is all that he has underestimated. What Hearts were short of last night isn't found in a machine. It is desire and pride and Hearts with no Hearts is a good summary.

If I was him, I would be holding up pictures of that young lad Currie and letting the rest of them know that he is the benchmark.

I voted stay but I don't think he needs more time. I think he's doing very well so far.

It's nauseating the way journalists are ganging up on him after sooking up to Hearts for the last couple of years.Obviously job hunting for their out of work pals who give them stories.I suspect Cathro has let it slip that he thinks they're a bunch of cretins.

I voted stay. In reality I'm waiting for John Hughes to tell me what fitba folk think but expect it will be that he's doing the right things even if the fans/performances/result may make that less than obvious.

Taking quite a shining to him :greengrin:greengrin. In all seriousness, the guy is clueless as a manager, he's suited to assistant/backroom/laptop data guy. I don't believe for a second that some of those Hearts players actually listen and respect him. If Neilson, who won championship and got them top 4, can't recover from a derby defeat, this clown has no chance. CATHRO MUST STAY.

To be fair, the new Football Manager has only been out for a few months, he'll need a bit of time to get used to it - he's not upgraded the laptop yet so it's taking ages to play through a season.

Presumably to see another 11 journeymen being brought in for tuppence ha'penny in the next opportunity to increase the number of different languages their mongos have to use to communicate "don't play it back to the keeper, hoof it up tge pitch"

Alas he will probably go. After witnessing last night he will know he will never experience the same passion, vibrancy and noise on the other side of the city no matter how successful he is over there. Good chance he'll be caught by him mum having a danger w**k to Sunshine on Leith

If he keeps fixing performances like last night I hope he stay a very long and unproductive time.
More likely in time he'll get emptied and become Craig Levein's scapegoat.

People are being far too hasty.

A visionary genius like Cathro needs time to challenge and change the entrenched attitudes in a sport that is resistant to change. I believe that it is in the interests of Scottish football that Cathro is given as long as possible to get his disinterested mercenaries to fully comprehend his epoch defining approach and that talk of sacking him with the Yams still in the top flight is premature. Even after he gets them relegated it will be appropriate to allow him to further develop his trend setting style of play in a less pressured environment.

So I vote he gets to see out the rest of his contract, and hope that Budge isn't swayed by the money that Real Madrid will offer to buy out his deal.

I think 'Kid cathro - Kid computer Cathro' is doing a fine job. After all, he did get his team to restrict us to 3 goals last night.

The pitch is the pitch, and the players will have to go again and win again because thats where we have to be, on the pitch winning. But tiday we look on to the pitch and there is no pitch, the pitch is gone and the players didnt have any fight.our players were meant to fight but i just cant seem to get them to follow the tripe that spews out my mouth.
Or something. Its ok.

'Throda on derby thumping.

"Second to every ball and challenge, accept we must. Hard enough, we failed to try. Backward steps a few, and we have much making up to do, that is, hmmm. Fight, second balls, 50-50s, individual things, what our problems were, that is. That, we accept that, also we feel. It. I feel it. Yes, hmmm. To fix a lot of things we need, and fix we will. Yes, hmmm. Stupid I am, Speak I should not, hmmm."
