With the game being played to a finish, penalties could be a possibility.

Obviously, we'll have prepared best we can for this possibility.

Sounds like Macphee/Cathro's laptops and iPads will go into overdrive with penalty data they have.

It doesn't matter what data they have, well taken penalties are unstoppable :-)

Exactly what I was thinking, heart rates and all data in world doesn't tell you who your best ball strikers are, that comes with knowing your players

Pick yer spot and drive it home. Simples really. Players that change their mind during the run up shouldn't be allowed to take them.

Dunno if Hearts will be used to taking penalties yet, not sure if they've had many over the last few years.

In time for heroes you can hear Mixu giving it big licks to his players in the semi yelling 'don't change your mind'.

Just smash it on target. If you don't know where it's going any computer or player for that matter certainly won't. Anyhoo they can't have that much data on ours coz we rarely get any.

This. Don't waste time win drilling it, you won't be remembered for that. Try a wee dink, see where it takes you.

Always laugh at Boyle talking about his pen against utd. One of the best ive seen- belted into the roof of the net top left, only for him to admit it was meant to go bottom left

Marciano's the man, have full faith in him if it went the distance. :agree:

he did.
to be fair, the penalties taken were not all that bad by UTD & they seemed to shoot where they planned it,... just big Conrad was a super star on the day.

As for Mixu,
I nearly broke my foot in the old east (kicking concrete is not recommended) when Mixu missed his penalty in a 0-0 draw at ER against the yams; did he not dink it (?)... cost me money and a scarred memory of the pained foot.

Had a horrible dream two nights ago that we lost this on penalties.

Have we ever had a pen shootout v THEM?
