Why on earth not?
Why on earth not?
Because a guy was murdered. It's crass and pathetic.

Indeed it is.
But that hardly disqualifies the subject.

No, a man is dead. I don't think the OP was doing that though.

Cannot stand Ryan McGowan but this is a totally separate matter and certainly not one to use in a slagging match.
McGowan Snr sounds like an absolute lowlife and justice has finally been done.

A footballers Dad murdered someone. It has some interest to football fans.
There's been plenty threads on rapes or drunk driving involving footballers.
Haven't seen anyone making light or point scoring.

Ryan Mcgowan is a victim in this too. Finding out your dad murdered an ex uncle and the father of your cousin must be an awful experience. Pretty sad situation all round.

There are a few comments about the kind of role model this guy must have been.
Putting aside all the rivalry stuff, I've only ever heard good things about Ryan McGowan. He played in a big game against us once, his team got a decent result and he may want to acknowledge that from time to time.
Amongst other things, my mate's daughter was a Dundee United mascot at a game at Tynecastle a while back and he was absolutely brilliant with her, unlike the vast majority of the United players who were ar5eholes (according to my mate, a United fan).
I like mocking those of a maroon persuasion as much as the next person but there is no joy to be derived from this situation whatsoever, although I accept it is a newsworthy story that some may wish to comment on.

Get a grip yourself.
I'm merely pointing out that 'crass and pathetic' is pretty humdrum for 'taunting' rivals - paedophilia and rape have been recent 'banter'.

But hasn't the paedophilia or rape taunts been about actual players or managers, this is about 2 players' father?

And it gets pointed out on here, quite rightly, that they shouldn't be.

Surprised nobody's mentioned Bartley.

Interestingly on KB today, the muppets are doing a bit of point scoring against us on a thread about Garry O'connor's shoplifting conviction. They frequently refer to 'Hibs class' in relation to his behaviour and one tw*t even suggests that Hibernian FC is responsible for the brushes with the law of Derek Riordan, Anthony Stokes and Garry O'Connor. Not many of the muppets chose to challenge these stupid insinuations.

It's a bit rich coming from supporters of a club who's past employees over the past 10 years or so include a manager convicted of having sex with an underage girl and a player who was convicted of soliciting an underage girl for sex and also showing sexually explicit images to two young girls.
I don't think Hearts fans are in any position to cast aspersions on any other club when it comes to how they handle their employees' conduct.
