Spot on. One piece of control when he killed a high ball and nearly dinked their keeper was outstanding. Keeping his goals for the replay though

Outstanding today
:agree: A pity he didn't return Holt's pass instead of shooting. It would have been a tap in for the big man

I agree ..... he actually held the ball up well until help arrived a couple of times which shows a bit of maturity, great ball for Holt which on another day might have resulted in a goal ....... not in the game a huge amount, but mostly didn't let himself down when he was.

Wish he would ping it with his right foot now and then.

If he could learn to hold his run for an extra half a second he would expose defenders more. To many offsides today if i was being picky.

I thought he was excellent and the tattle field stopped him from getting the ball under control and moving in on goal once or twice.

He's much more than just a goalscorer.

Not a lot of chances for him today but definitely gives our front line a much needed edge,he has that ability to produce something out of nothing which keeps defenders on their toes, set up nicely for him in the replay.

On a better pitch he would have scored a couple.
He would have scored at least one today if he would learn to shoot with his right foot.

Gutted he didn't reach derby immortality with 5 in a row. Never mind, there's always a week on Wednesday. He played well.

Tbh holt would have missed it as he likes to squander big chances

Playing On the shoulder of the last man when turning was so difficult was the right choice today. At least one of the offsides in the second half wasn't.

Worked hard today. Thought his usual goal was coming. My one criticism would be he got too involved with the orks in the stand on a couple of occasions. Saw Holt having a word with him.

That long ball he controlled in the second half was impressive, winning me over again.

My feeling was Holt never should have passed it in the first place. Loads of space and time on edge of box.. should have just put his foot through it.

Anyway, guys done well today and I thought Jason looked good when he got the ball. Touch looking sharp!

To be fair, must be tempting to do a Cantona kick on those Wheatfield neds.

I agree that Holt would probably have duffed it. Nevertheless, that was the correct ball for Jason to play. I think Grant is an asset however, he does squander a lot of chances which surprises me given his pedigree. I can think of three half chances he had today that came to nothing. IMO, he should be scoring at least one from three.
As far as his scoring touch goes, he reminds me of James Collins (although he does add much more to the team than James C ever did).
Go on, Grant, score a hat-trick in the replay and prove me totally wrong.

I think Holt is a brilliant player. I keep dropping hints to him via twitter for another derby hattrick like his one v Ipswich but I dont think he catches on lol

Winning you over? Weird. We'd be ****ed without Jason Cummings.

Typical that people harp on about Cummings not using his right foot but not much mention of Holt missing our best chance when he should've used his left foot in the first half

People seem more fixated on the left footers
