Criticised him for his performance last week, and as many people pointed out then, he never hid. After a shaky start today I thought he was pushing Marv for MOM. won every second ball that came anywhere near him, harassed the hearts midfield and played good simple balls to the forwards feet and out to the full backs.

he did start poorly..and it looked as if the game was passing him by.but as the game progressed he got better and better...was one of our stronger performers for the last 20mins

It was difficult for anyone to contribute in an attacking sense today given the pitch and the speed the game was played at. But Fyvie, Bartley and McGinn were all aggressive and battled well. Good to see us so physically strong at PBS. I'd go with Sky and give MOTM to Bartley but everyone played well.

On a better pitch I think his passing might not have appeared to be so bad, especially if alongside McGinn. Bring on the moneyspinning replay.

Personally thought he was a passenger until about 15-20 minutes into second half. For me it was like he actually turned a switch on or something clicked but once it did he came into his own

Disagree. We struggled when he was out injured. Watch the cup final again, 100% passing success rate. But that's what opinions are for PH 😀

Wasn't too shabby setting up the corner for the second goal in the cup final or the ball to Stokes for the shot for the winning goal.

Boys an excellent footballer and is a superb foil for McGinn. Minimum 2 year deal should be offered.

Unsung hero for me.

I thought Keatings was totally anonymous today, if he wasn't taking the dead balls, I'd forget he was n the pitch, not the first time he's disappeared in an important game.

That's what I thought as well. I love Fyvie generally, think he's out vest midfielder but I wanted more from him today.

That said, he didn't half help keep their midfield quiet.

This is one of the things I like most about Fyvie. We've had various shades of s***e over the years who have not fancied games or let their heads go down when things aren't going their way. When a game isn't going Fyvie's way, he makes it go his way and this is what he did today. We shouldn't underestimate the mental strength he has and the importance this has on us being able to recover in games such as the cup final. Having players like Fyvie is what sets this team apart from previous teams.

I thought he struggled to cope with his role in the diamond, and it took him a bit of time to realise that when their left-back bombed forward that it was his role to track him.

But he got there in the end, and ended up playing a significant role for us.

He's had more than a few games like he had today, when he plugged away and turned an iffy performance into a decent one.

Thought he was poor to be honest. He gave the ball away a lot quite a few times and wants far too long on the ball at times. Even in other games I have seen this season he just doesn't move the ball quick enough.

Yeah I think his passing accuracy must be absolutely abysmal but like Bartley he's essential for games like that because of the amount of their play that he stops. Still glad we have him, he's a real fighter
