SJM and Warburton songs

Been watching the Chelsea v Arsenal game and heard a copied version of the SJM song and now that Czech has sold the jersey they are singing the Warburton song (presumably in reference to Czechs hat).

Did we come up with these songs or did we pluck them from the football song handbook? They always start somewhere and I had never heard these 2 at football matches til we sung them. No real point to the question, just curious.

Aye those magic hat chants have been belted out down in England for years, it was the Huns that stole it. They started singing that awful don't take me home chant the English fans were singing at the Euro's too.

My 2nd favourite version of the magic hat song has to be when derby sang

"Paul jewell is a porn star, he wears a porn stars hat
and when he saw that blonde bird he said I'm having that"

There's been loads of versions down south to the 'my old mans a dustman' tune over the years. Some really weird!

First version I can mind hearing in Scotland was Dundee Utd in 1994:

"Ivan Golac's magic,
He wears a magic hat,
He punched the bluenose in the puss,
And now he's on his back,
Ohhhhh Ivan Golac's magic..."

(The bluenose being a touchline incident involving a Dundee player )
