Got me thinking lately after commons being with us for a short time , are there any players you watched for us that you wished had been about longer ???

For me the obvious one is didier agathe - as a centre forward he had everything bar a left foot!
Benji- the talent this guy had was limitless!
Rocastle- what a player he was with us !! Just oozed quality
And to a lesser extent Kenny miller - he scored goals for fun as a youngster and could really have went on to be a great

Would liked to have seen more of all of those you have mentioned. Agathe in particular. He was unreal for us. I'd add Marc Libbra to that too. So talented.

Being totally honest-the whole of the Turnbulls Tornadoes team. Unfortunately for me I caught the tail end of it in the late seventies. Attended all three of the 79 cup games with Dad. My Dad and big bro had the good fortune of seeing them in their prime and I was unluckily weaned on hibs in the late seventies when were relegated however still very grateful I was brought up a Hi bee and have seen it all from the worst to the best to the worst again and to the best ever when we lifted the League Cups in 92 07 and the holy grail in 16.

Just missed out on the Turnbulls Tornadoes but hey ho still seen plenty of great times. I would have loved being at the 0-7 game, heaven.

For the old timers, Iain Munro. Swapping him for Scott and Fyffe, WTF was Eddie Turnbull thinking about.

by more of do you mean in person or that they had stayed longer at Hibs?

Eoin Doyle.... think he'd be banging them in for fun if he was still with us now.

Joe Keenan, genuinely thought there was a player in there. Also thought Kevin McBride would have been an excellent DM if he had kept injury free.

Hope Solo and Marta Vieira da Silva for starters.

Hope Solo would be a trip. I'd be scared to take her out on a date, if it went badly she would likely punch yer lights oot........

I have a friend that would scare me much more than Hope Solo but she is 6'4". I joked with her that it would take a couple of hours to get down there.

Meroune Zemmama, he was plagued with injuries

Daniel Andersson. I was too young to properly remember Goram at Hibs so he's the best goalie I've seen play for us. Pity it was just for the one season

The Tornados. The great side had lost a good few of the classic line up by time I started to go in mid 70's. Being born in 1970, I was just too young to have seen the Todnados in their pomp.

I think El Alagui is up there for me. Was great whenever he played which unfortunately wasn't all that much

Chris Killen.

He arrived, played some good stuff, got injured, then buggered off.

I wanted a wee bit more.

Has to be Agathe was at Tynie when we signed him and he absolutely ripped Hearts a new one, unfortunately then Celtic manager gordon strachan was in the stand watching and the rest as they say is history. Most interesting aspect was we were playing him as a striker and Celtic ended up converting him to a wing back, could have gone on to be one of the best goalscorers we've ever had but we'll never know.

Thought Martin O'Neill signed Agathe?

Paul Wright - that is, the version before the horrific tackle by sc*mbo Neil Berry masquerading as a professional footballer, who should have received at least a 10 game ban for that.

Denes Rosa...his cameo few months for us showed that there was a superb player in there.

Also the mad man Szamotulski.

This! Was about to post the very chap.
Most of the 2012 Cup Final squad. I'm not even convinced we put out 11 players then. Come to that, I'm pretty sure 'they' had a lot more than 11...

Kevin Harper. I wish he'd stayed with us longer.

Joe Keenan..I wish I'd never seen him in a Hibs shirt never mind seen more off. :greengrin

Duncan Watmore would've been good to see in the current team.

Leigh Griffiths is the one for me. How we managed to let him slip through our fingers three times is unforgivable.

Good post !!
Remember at the time when Ian Munro signed for Hibs Bob Crampsey wrote " Hibs have just signed " half a team" in one go . Left back .Ch/Left mid fielder" !!
Never a truer word said !!
I remember clearly being at the first game Scott/Fyfe played at Easter Road and they were abysmall and continued to be so !!
Real Ibrox cast offs !!

I would have liked to have seen Stevie Archibald at ER when in his prime !!

Was going to mention this and thought it may be a bit controversial. Paul's sale helped to fund Keith Wright's arrival but even after that bad injury with us he went on to score bags of goals for Killie and St J - inevitably almost every time he played us. Would love to have seen him banging them in for the Hibees for a few years more.

Off the top of my head, Isaac Revfik. Steve Archibald, Kenny Miller, Agathe, Sauzee, Paul Wright, Libra,
