Terrible ref..let's hope it won't matter but I can bet there will be a thread on here tomorrow evening about how bad he is.

I'm just making a post. I am a referee so just making others aware.

Yep doesn't understand the game IMO and frequently loses control.

The teams job is to make the officials irrelevant

.... blind?
.... illegitimate?
.... a mason?

To be honest, he could be all three as long as he is irrelevant to the outcome of the game.

Bad ref but not a bigot and is likely to mess things up for Ayr as us.

I love these " is the ref a mason?" Quotes, does any one know how many "high ranking" Freemasons are ST holders at at ER, meaning that if there were Masonic conspiracies , we would be quite fortunate in that respect.

Oh and I have it in good authority that "brother Crawford " is retiring from reffing at the end of the season

Know Crawford pretty well. He's not a bad guy really. Was going to retire last season but decided to give it one more. Think he turns 50 in a few months. Do Grade 1 ref's not have to give up by that age? I'll have to ask him.

He is our 'draw specialist' ref. Has never reffed a league game at ER that we've won. I said it today before kick off to those around me - today is going to be a draw. Crawford's in charge. The one victory he was in the middle for was League Cup win against Stranraer (5-3) a few years ago.

He's obviously got a dodgy watch - we should have had at least 6-8 minutes of extra time, but hardly got any.

I didn't understand how right at the end that Ayr player went down, the physio came on, he decided to go off the long way, he limped a few steps, stopped and took a knee then had Cummings and the physio help him off slowly. I timed the whole charade and it took 2 minutes 34 seconds. The game restarted and we played 26 seconds before full time was blown. How does that work?

The usual absence of a fourth official means we never know how much time is to be added, but i reckoned we were looking at at least four minutes based on subs and injuries before the 90 minutes were up. Stripping out the injury time stoppage i think we had two minutes.

Agree.....I thought we were due a few minutes anyway before the incident you describe . Seemed a very quick ft whistle.

Don't know PB. In the EPL, we see ganes with 6 or 7 minutes of injury time. In Scotland we see 2 or 3 minutes! Struggling to understand that!!

The problem with all this time wasting is that we are paying to watch 90 minutes of football, yet actually watching only 60 to 70 minutes. All this play acting, time-wasting will drive people away from football.

I have to say that today's time-wasting was up there with the worst I've ever seen. A piss-poor team who were lucky enough to score a lucky early goal then looked for every opportunity to waste time. Scottish Football though at it's very best/worst.

.

Yeah that 30 minutes that the Hibs players wasted at the start of the game was a disgrace.
Pretending to be uncoordinated and blind . Unacceptable!

The amount of stoppage time added was a joke! As was the Shinnie booking!!

Nothing that affected the result however, I thought the ref was dire.
Another showman. Spent at least 2 to 3 minutes discussing something with managers and officials at the side of the park on a couple of occasions while 14,349 punters + 22 players were put on hold. As we watched his feather-pruning he succeeded in letting the clock tick down another few precious minutes in time-wasting.

Some folks posted earlier .....

How some of their players got away with time wasting is a joke.
Throw ins especially.
Ayr just attempted to break up play constantly with fouls every 5 mins made the viewing horrendous.
