Forget the Derby. We have a game tomorrow. They have beaten us at Easter Road this season so we should be very wary. I don't want any distractions from the league and expect a professional performance and a 3-0 home win at least. Then we'll think about Hertz.

We'll make a statement tomorrow.

5-0 Hibs.

I've not been far out with my predictions this season with the exception of the Bonnyrigg game and I think I'll be close again tomorrow.

Ayr have been totally rubbish recently and I can't see them putting in a performance like the last time they were here albeit aided by a dodgy red card. Easy 5-0 for the cabbage

Anything less than a win is unthinkable but a comfortable result is more likely. 3+ - 0 Hibs.

3 points for Hibs anything else is a bonus, points are more meaningful than goal difference!!!

As a fanbase, a home League game in the second tier against Ayr is never going to excite as much as a cup derby, especially not with the recent Scottish Cup history between the two sides.

I get that fully. But Saturday is probably more important to us in the wider scheme of things.

I'm worried that both support and players will take their eye of the ball and points will be dropped in a lacklustre performance.

I'm going for 1-1.

I hope not. Neil Lennon was drawn into that question today and he said if they are not concentrating on Ayr then they won't be playing next week. I get the impression that he won't tolerate any ditstractions til we get 3 points, as it should be.

Ayr have went 12 games without a win.... in the olden days(and not so olden days) when a team were on a run like that their was always a team that would give them a helping hand, they can delay a win for at least another week i'm sure :)

I too would survive such an outcome. But I would require counseling in order to refrain from laughing out loud whenever a Jambo was in sight. This treatment is ongoing anyway.

Hate easy posts like this after the game is finished. An air of trying to make yourself seem all knowing and wise. Predicting 3/4-0 Hibs vs Ayr at home is not ridiculous. It's what it should be when comparing squad qualities.

That's tough if you don't like it, and it's exactly why I don't post ridiculous predictions. I've been watching football, and Hibs in particular, for far too long. It's a mugs game.

All knowing and wise. I wish. That's a good one. :faf: You just keep letting everyone know how clever you are telling everyone Hibs are going to "skoosh it".

"It's what it should be", and what actually happens, are quite often two entirely different things. Like today. Going by your reasoning, Barcelona for example should never lose a match. You do know that football is not an exact science?

The rationale behind the predictions of 3/4-0 isn't invalidated just because the result went the other way. No-one's saying Barca should never lose a match, but it's logically sound to predict them to win effectively every game.

Come on. Predictions of winning by 5, 6, 7 (or more! - maybe not serious?) goals against a team who we know is going to play ten men behind the ball, break up play constantly, and waste as much time as a weak referee will allow.

I personally thought Hibs would win today by a goal, maybe two. How wise and all knowing am I.

....what a bundle of joy you are.

Hibs will skoosh it in the end. No doubt if they don't quite skoosh it to your liking you'll be one of the first to jump on and tell me 👍 How observant by the way.

The bit in bold - you're spot on for once (unlike your score prediction). You should see me at parties. Life and soul mate! I've been told I'm a blast at the karaoke too. Love a good laugh. That's why I post on this forum and read the score predictions. :greengrin

I really do hope you're correct with your prediction that Hibs will "skoosh it" in the end. Yes, I really do. Honest.

There's nothing wrong in being optimistic, but I just think that including a wee bit of realism is not unreasonable, particularly after witnessing so many disappointing results like yesterday over the years. Don't you?

PS: I couldn't give a toss about "skooshing it to my liking". Whatever that actually means. I just want Hibs to win it, like everyone else. And if Hibs do win it by a large margin you won't, of course, be the first to tell me / everyone. It's not as if you've already done so.
