Can anyone confirm if there is any truth in the rumour that The Rangers poor performance tonight was due to their players not receiving full payment of wages on their last pay day? As I say, it's only a rumour I've heard, nothing concrete or in the know! :wink:

I think the poppy thieves were quite impressive overall, The Rangers were a complete shambles, but how much of that could be down to current payroll difficulties that some players are rumoured to be experiencing? Only a rumour, not in the know. :wink:

My source, who is not very reliable by the way, believes that not all wages were met, possibly win bonuses or something like that not being paid. Only a rumour mind. :wink:

Is not meeting full payroll a reportable incident to the SPFL?
Maybe some of the players, if they've not been fully paid, have been warned off about reporting such an incident?

More likely to be because they are an absolutely rancid football team that still cannot defend cross balls or corners (Henderson to deliver). They play very narrow and generally get killed down the wings.
Add in recruiting appallingly in the summer, signing expensive bad players(Barton, Keirnan, Senderos) they now pay the price with insipid displays like last night against a Hearts team who now seem to raise their game against Sevco Rangers.

I doubt this is true as the just paid a transfer fee for a reserve goalie. There are plenty back up goalies they could have signed for free and the fans would not have cared one way or another.
They are spending way more than they earn but seem to be surviving on directors loans for now.
Will be interesting to see how they get a licence to play in Europe though.
