Am I right in thinking if there is a replay, it would be on the 21st or 22nd? Just planning ahead..

Last season the replay was the Wednesday after the 1st game
You sure? I'm certain it was the week after because I was at tynecastle for the 2 2 game but had to miss the replay as was in London working that week

Wonder why we didn't the 3pm slot

Probably police decision, 12.30 kick off means not as much drinking time

Rangers home clash with Morton will also be broadcast live on Sky Sports on the same day with a 3pm start.

That's what I meant, why didn't we get that slot

I would assume that Sky think they will get a bigger audience for the The Rangers game at that time.

Or the police have decided Hibs and Hearts fans will somehow all be pissed and aggressive by 3pm on a Sunday.

Sky dictate when games are played, not the police. See the recent old firm game on Hogmanay as proof. I'm sure there are occasions when the police will have some input but it certainly won't be why we've got the shan early ko. It's so Sky can put Rangers in their prime slot in the afternoon. As sad as it is, their game with Morton will be watched by far more people throughout the UK than our game.
We've played a couple of recent(ish) derbies at 4:15pm and 7:45pm with no trouble and no real concerns from the police.

Not proof according to this article and Sky spokesman quotes.

Sky wanted New Year's Day, the Police knocked it back and the League knocked back anything later due to the winter shutdown.

I read that Sky had first and third pick in this round meaning Sky picked first, no doubt our game, BBC had second pick, they picked Saturday, Sky had third pick and had to go for Sunday. I doubt they want to put two Scottish games against two English games at near enough the same time.

Remember when the Police allowed Derbies on Sunday at 6.05pm and Saturday at 5.35pm back in the good TV contract between 1998-2002.
