Keatings has scored 3 league goals in 7 starts (5 subs) and the 2 goals in the cup game, Boyle has 5 league goals in 10 starts (11 subs).
Keats has been unlucky with injuries again (just as he was coming onto a game) and Boyle is as we know hot and cold and maybe a better impact player.
I agree we''l need another proven striker when we go up, maybe even 2 if Cummings goes.
I think the 'struggle' with Keatings is finding his best position in the team.
I love the guy and one of the best performances in recent seasons from any Hibs player was Keatings v Dundee United in the 3-0 cup game. At times he was unplayable. Brilliant performance but if I recall he was allowed to be the 'free' player in a 4-3-3 and allowed to roam, come deep, drift wide, etc - perhaps he's a player that thrives more on less rigid direction (in other words just let the guy have freedom to use space behind strikers rather than tell him 'you're out wide' or 'you're in the hole').

He won't do nothing for 4 months. If nothing else comes up he'll be back at hibs. Everything else is illogical captain.

Henderson doesn't want to come to us or go anywhere else on a loan deal. His successful sub. appearance today will have strengthened his resolve to see out the season at Parkhead. He's as good as, if not better than, quite a few of their midfielders. he was playing against a bunch of huddies, tbf.

I agree with you. He's knocking on the fringes at Parkhead now, so it's worth his while sticking around to see if he can get more games in between now and the end of the season. If he can't get more than a few starts, or if it seems that Celtic are going to bring in some name players close season, then he might be tempted by a Hibs offer.

There is a lot of informed and uninformed guesswork going on re hendo and Kris commons. Hendo may or may want a loan move but unless Celtic get a lot of injuries to midfieders then he will get a few minutes here and there unless he thinks he will get more time when the league is wrapped up. Also he might not want to come to er as he has so much competition for places and wouldn't be a first pick. Can't say I too fussed whether he comes or not. Commons on the other hand I would be delighted to be here till the end of the season. Even though he was nowhere near full fitness he had contributed immensely to us being 8 points ahead. He would love to be here till the end of the season as he really enjoyed his time with us and gets on with the manager. There is no winners if he just plays a few development league games while picking up his wad of cash. It is up to Celtic and if it does happen it will probably be tomorrow teatime till it happens.

I agree totally, his best and I think favoured position is a free role behind the strikers, this is when he is at his most dangerous and must be a nightmare for defences to handle

Is that uninformed or informed guess work.

Somewhere in the middle. Lol. Too many people have looked pretty silly over whether hendo was going to be signing. Don't think Neil Lennon will be phased by any signings going right down to the last couple of hours of the transfer window. Never thought hendo was likely to come and commons was far more likely to be at er till end of the season. We shall see.

Think Hendo will be getting a few games between now and the end of the season especially if Celtic win on Weds night. Players will be getting rested, squad rotated etc

The manager will be well aware that we need to strengthen to be able to compete in a higher division and it may be that some will have to make way for the others coming in to allow us to do this and some will disagree with this as ever, that’s why we have a good manager and backroom team in place.
They will be planning eighteen months ahead and no just for the next four months.

We are seriously trying with hendo, and will continue to even if we can't get him before the deadline! Can also say we failed in a bid to sign a left winger from Bristol city on loan Utter pish Don't make things up. If he signs before the 1st of Feb, I will personally make a £20 donation to the Dnipro Kids Can you say the same?

And I'll make a £20 donation to Dnipro if he doesn't. And if he does.
So Liam's helping Dnipro Kids whatever he does. Legend.
