Nothing new about this, but it has just been confirmed.

Rob Kiernans charge has been dismissed.

Seems reasonable. They are the people, after all.

They have a problem with understanding what constitutes an assault. Poor bears.

St Johnstone fans would have been well within their rights to go on the pitch to protect their player, surely.

Is there video of it? I've no seen what actually happened.

Given that Kiernan must have undoubtedly suffered severe provocation to act in such a manner, why didn't the sevco noble white knights ride to his rescue and protect him?

There are vids of this doing the rounds but cannot find one atm. The vid clearly shows kiernan swinging his left arm across his body and into the St Johnston players abdomen, the compliance officer is either blind or crooked making this judgement.

Anyone who calls that a punch hasn't lived.I would be enraged if a Hibs player was penalised for it.

It was more of an assault than the one on Foderingham following the cup final.

I've seen the video, and while it shows the arm swinging it doesn't actually show it connecting with a punch.

I hate old firm players as much as the next person, but for a conviction you've got to have conclusive proof rather than an assumption of what happened.
