View Full Version : Neil Lennon could make history!

Johnny Clash

Just realised Neil Lennon could be the first ever Hibs manager to retain the Scottish Cup.

Despite that I'd still say promotion was the priority!

would also be a miracle, never mind history if we could retain the cup and do the double by winning the league. they say miracles sometimes happen:wink:

I think the word 'Miracle' best sums up the possibility of this happening

A solid defence of the trophy will do.

I reckon we will make the quarters

I hope so but I have a deep foreboding about the Bonnyrigg game.

Me too. I reckon I might fall down the stairs and do a header over the barrier like the guunt tramp when the tenth goes in.

Surprised St. Johnstone and Dundee are shorter odds than us. I reckon we'd take care of either in a knockout game.

If we can get Aberdeen and hearts in the next 2 rounds we're in with a right shout.

We're long overdue to win a Scottish cup final by more than one goal.

Promotion first all day long.
I have had enough of watching coaches like Houston and L0cke send out teams that just try to kick the crap out of us. Neanderthal football and referees who shouldn't be anywhere near football pitches. I have had enough of this league. Thanks Butcher.

Last year I was the same as you but if it was down to a straight choice this year it would have to be for me to be promoted. Wouldn't say no to both though!!!

If we win the Cup again this year, I'll pay £1,000 to Dnipro Kids.

On the way back from Hampden last year I said to my daughter that I would love us to win it in 2017 as well, I think I remain of that opinion! I am not sure where I stand in relation to it or promotion though....!

He won't be retaining it as Hibs manager though,he would be winning it for the first time as Hibs manager.

You could both be right if we win it this year and next.

No one in their right mind could complain if that happened.

Allegedly had 0% chance last year.

I'd fancy us to give anyone in Scotland a game... except Celtic.

I just think they are so far ahead of every other team this year.

I guess anything could happen in a one off game but with them out of Europe, the league cup won and the SPL title effectively over already I think the Scottish cup will be their focus for the rest of the year and can't see them slipping up.

Personally I'd be happy with Bonnyrigg knocking us out if it meant promotionI worry about you. they will not knock us out, end of. not entirely sure about us being promoted but the initial signs are very good. I have always felt, and wanted us to win the Scottish, against Celtic after they destroyed us 6-1 in 72. was wrong, but got the second best by beating The Rangers, as we should have won it with a late penalty (not given) in 1979.against auld Rangers.

28/1 That's pretty good price really, if Hibs are 28-1 for the cup at the start of every season then it's good value. I firmly believe we will win it again 3 or 4 times in the next 28 years.

Promotion this season will keep the buzz around the place , keep the season tickets being sold,

Let some other team enjoy it for a year and then when we are back we can go for it again.

It would be great if we could make it to the semi final at least just to give everyone another day out at Hampden.

I want to see us clinch the Championship at home to Dumbarton on 18th March having beaten Dundee Utd the previous week at Tannadice. We will then start the next season in the Premier League with at least 11,000 STs and aiming to finish at least 3rd.

I'll take the cup again provided I'm getting a cup final ticket, there is a parade, a pitch invasion, and they bring out \another DVD.

Otherwise promotion is the priority.

Definitely not! Promotion every single day of the week!

Then again why not go one better than last year with a league and cup double 😏

Winning anything twice in a row is a big ask, the other teams play you as the team to beat!

Last year we were the team to be drawn against as it would be an easy tie?

As long as the cup does not get in the way of promotion, a cup run is good, but it can be draining on the team with extra games!!

So, for me its win the Championship, and get out of this cesspool of a league.
