I imagine this has been viewed many times but I wonder if anybody noticed the policeman's subtle celebration at 16:28. It's the slightest of clenched fists behind the goals when Hibs score.

Thanks for this. Some ace goals. And I had forgotten how good, and thin, mixu was.

One finer point that I had never spotted before is that our strips in the 0-7 game had no badge on the shirt. Anyone know why , and did we play that whole season without a badge ?

And the opening goal by O'Rourke on New Years day 1973 was his 24th of the season. Even allowing for the earlier cup's that is a fair number by the turn of the year.

What a team !!

Was there too, I'm positive Zambernardi played a floated pass up to Mixu though at 4-3. Keep the ball.

Hibs did also score 2 very late goals from what I recall we went 3-2 up in the 88th minute and 4-2 in the 91st. For some reason there was loads of added on time - six minutes or so?

We never had a badge on our strip back then, it wasn't the done thing.

We got a penalty in injury time, hand ball from caveman I think. Mixu missed it scored the rebound.

I forgot about the scenes when john O'Neil equalised in injury time under LeGod.

Was Ian Murray not involved in a altercation with the Hearts fans, someone threw a bottle at him as he'd shaved 0-7 into the back of his head and the ref added on time due to the bottle throwing incident. Thats how I remember it anyway.

1973 and a vodka bottle he handed to the ref thrown from the big shelter stand near our end.

Floating the ball up instead of punting it into the corner and then getting skinned in the box for the cut back. Truly abysmal play.

Yip. Mixu missed the header, knocked right back down the line and you just knew what was coming up.
