In summary. An excellent team performance. The first half was outstanding, the team pressed Utd hard and seemed to get all the breaks. Humphrey had a great start and Cummings was sharp for each goal. The team looked comfortable all over the field with Bartley was asserting himself with skill and muscular intent. Boyle looked well up for it too and both Stevenson and Gray were having strong games.

The second half was less exhilarating, but the ream showed real resilience and Hanlon and Mc Gregor worked well to subdue any Utd threat. I thought Boyle came into his own in the second half. He was always looking to take on his man and was generally a great outlet for the team when under pressure. This was vital as Humphrey was beginning to wane a bit in influence

Lennon made the right subs at the right time and I felt both Keatings and Graham made a decent contribution, whilst McGinn showed his class by finishing the match with a excellent solo effort

Fans gave the team fine backing and were rewarded by a very strong performance, well done Hibs:top marks

Pleased to have seen a hungry performance with the whole team working together. We probably should have scored more with sometimes the last pass not always perfect. I was good to see the players hunting in packs to retain possesion and as others have pointed out both full backs are more comfortable when sitting further back. Long way to go yet, but hopefully that will be us set to go on a long run.

Hibs and Man city in my line, just waiting for Newcastle tomorrow !!

Just watched the goals - again -------- and again!

When I was at the game I thought Cummings might have been offside for the first goal but after watching it on the TV, he was certainly onside. A great piece of opportunism even although the ball fell kindly for him.

Cummings four goals in last three games and probably deserved a Hatrick ladt night but towards the end he wanted to beat about five players before shooting and it never came off for him
Super John What a reception just for warming up and he thrived on that and was back to his old self
If we can keep that Level of performance up we have nothing to fear United were tidy at keeping possession at times but Laidlaw hardly had a save to make
After the debacle that was greenock this was a Champions Performance
