Looks like hibs have more faith in United selling out the south stand than filling it with hibs fans

Football is not about being fair, we as a club should be doing everything to make home advantage count. If that means restricting the away support then so be it. I just feel that we have missed an opportunity by not having us in all 4 stands.

We've got 17,000 more fans inside the ground than them. Thats a decent advantage.

Let's make it a bigger advantage, lets open the south to hibs fans.

I agree.

It's a not so spectacular own goal imo.

Saw that too, presume they mean with current sales levels, tickets will be long gone by Friday

Aye a bit strange, assume it means they expect to put the tickets they would normally make available for sale at the pods on sale before Friday

The bit about UTD occupying most of the South is a definite indication the club has no intention of selling south stand tickets to home support.... disappointing but I'm not surprised.

Still around 1,300 tickets likely to be free in the South. That's a lot of money at up to £22 a ticket to turn down

So if the tickets were all sold to children it would bring in £15,600 and if they were all sold to adults it would bring in £28,600. That's a lot of money so I don't see why we wouldn't open up the south.

No insider knowledge, but I suspect the reasoning behind home fans in three stands only, is fallout from the cup final. Nothing may happen with Hibs and away fans in the south stand, but we're one of only two clubs to have fans fighting on the park and subject to charges by the SFA in the last nine months. I think the club are probably playing things very cautiously, probably with good reason.

Just read on FB from a Utd mate of mine via their FB fan page that they have sold out their initial allocation of 2000 and Hibs have allocated another 644 tickets to be sold by Utd.

Even if the South was to be segregated vertically, with a capacity of what - 3500 - it would only allow 700 to 800 approx for us if required.

South stand holds nearer 4000. 3900 odd i think.

They have 2500 in total. Stand holds 3800 . Leaves about 1000 after segregation i reckon

Their initial allocation was 1900 which they have nearly sold. The total allocation is 2544 meaning about 1400 seats available in the stand. So I'd expect with segregation Hibs could give 1100 or 1200 to the home support.

Ah right. Didn't realise South had capacity just under 4K.

Only if home fans are supportive and not on the teams backYou do know it works both ways right? The fans wouldent be on their backs if they were performing. Name me a team where fans never get on their teams back. There is none.

Clue is in "Support"....Maybe we could be supportive, rather than howling at them? Nice wee change no?:aok:

Do you think the players mean to under perform?

There is no club in world football where the fans dont get at the players if theyre not performing. Thats football. No point having a go at our support.

Cup Final was prime example, fans rallied when team went behind. Really helped the players, be good to do it on Friday

Agreed, some folk don'the even wait until a player does something wrong these days. The mere sight of their "pet hate" in a Hibs shirt is enough to set some roasters off on one.
