Just watched the lad rip Arsenal to bits. The young scottish boy looks like quality....but he also looks about 5ft4 so probably no caps for him!

Yeah just thinking that. Rapid and tricky and with that goal obviously a cool head on him.

I'm sure he was bought by Bournemouth for decent money three or four seasons ago.

He's 5"4.

Not much use at defending corners.

You can forget that idea.

Pace to burn, composure in front of goal, pah.

He played for the Under 21s a couple of months back at Tynecastle. He was really poor that night.

That was obvious from the red card decision. Should never have been a red, and wouldn't have if it was an arsenal players tackle.

Him going off injured seems to have changed the game in Arsenals favour. Bournemouth have had little or no out ball since he went off.

It was hardly a lunge, he was standing next to the arsenal player.

Good game. I thought Bournemouth started to struggle once Fraser went off. He was a great out ball for them and once he'd gone, Bellerin was practically playing as a right winger

And he was badly at fault for the first two Arsenal goals. Not a good night. However Arsenal had been pouring down his wing as if he wasn't there anyway.

Its a very soft red. But the laws now make it very easy to send off any player who leaves the ground in a tackle.

The disagreement here simply highlights the difficulties faced by referees - we have seen it in slow motion and can't agree. This also highlights how daft the comments can be on here about referees cheating because they make a mistake in a game involving Hibs..... It's all about interpretation.......

And so they should - I for one don't want to go back to the days when the ball players just got relentlessly booted off the park. Imagine this season's Falkirk with the rules from 30 years ago?

Good point, and exactly why video replays can only ever be used for matters of 'fact' and not of opinion eg ball over the line or offside....and even then its up for interpretation of the rules.

Contact doesn't come into it. If a player goes over the ball in an uncontrolled manner - in the opinion of the ref - it's a red.

Fraser played very well, good pace and strength. He also finished very well for his goal.

Never a red card, also the goal that chopped of for hand ball looked harsh.

It was going wide and hit the boy's hand which deflected it in! It would have been very harsh on Arsenal had it been allowed to stand.

It wasn't malicious but it ended up a very poor tackle...I think it's seen as harsh due to the fact it wasn't meant and was simply poor timing. Was a red for me though.

He didn't go over the ball, he missed it to the side of it, just. His foot was barely even off the ground.

Will be interesting to see how he responds to what will be a big money move to Newcastle.

He had one season when he was exceptional, even at EPL standard with one of the highest assist numbers. He's also just had a season when he's been pretty poor.

What next for Ryan Fraser?

I think he’s a really good player. He seems to suggest that being closer to home was a factor in choosing Newcastle so I think he will settle quite well there - it’s a big contract to cover the prime of his playing years, so his future looks secure.

Newcastle have made some canny signings, I think they will be comfortably mid table or better this season.

Definitely looking more positive for the Toon! The big thing is keeping everyone fit, but every team can say that really. The prospect of having Fraser on one wing, Saint-Maximim on the other, and Callum Wilson upfront is exciting

I'm quite mixed about it. He could have signed a short term deal and then got a horror injury, putting him out for most of next season. It was clear he was leaving so I can understand his position.

Ultimately Bournemouth had a good run in the EPL and a club that size were always going to struggle to stay in the top division. I don't think it's fair to lay it at his door.

Yes, not done much wrong, unlike some of those abusing him.
